I'm a asshole, so a better question to ask is, why does Kung Fu Kid only have one toe?

anyone else think his body looks backwards? That definitely looks like his head is spun 180 degrees around so he's looking behind himself.
How do we know that Kung Fu Kid isn't just Alex Kidd with smaller ears? Face the facts: they both have "Kid(d)" in their name. God is awesome.

Alex doesn't know kung fu. Kung Fu Kid obviously does. Clearly they are related, probably brothers. Alex Kidd in Shinobi World was Alex's attempt to learn kung fu and star in an awesome karate game like his brother Kung Fu. It was a good effort but of course you can never match the real Kung Fu Kid.
Kung Fu Kid has ong sock because his leg is being shadowed. The problem is that the shirt has no shadow or ligthing detail, that is why it looks off. I know this because I studied art, and have exposer to art before the 1990's.
Another reason why he has no sox, is because his panty hose/tights flewed off while performing the kick. Which means the action lines ( those orange swipes ) are also off.
