Mountains in the background from Ninja Spirit. Blue enemy bird from Barunba.

top BG is from gate of thunder (i think).
power up orbs are from turrican.
2nd down plattform BG tiles (red squares) from Drac X.

Doing well, only 3 left to get.

BG at the bottom from Iga Ninden Gao.

The blue clouds in the background are from Godzilla.

Only 2 to go. Both from fairly common games.

The part at the top under the Gate of Thunder BG is from Super Darius (or Darius Plus or Darius Alpha, as the case may be).

I can't say for sure, but I know the "options" I've seen before.  Though maybe not as options.  I want to say something like St Dragon or Salamander.
