Title: Complete PC engine briefcase systems for sale.
Post by: Keith Courage on 03/29/2013, 02:50 PM
I have 5 PC Engine briefcase systems up for grabs. Both the pcengine itself and CD drives are still very white for their age. Some CD drives are not quite as white as the pc engines but definitely not yellow or off white. I am asking 185 plus shipping costs. They will also include a 3.0 super system card, converted TG16 controller pad, 3rd party ac adapter and AV cable. I will also remove the original RF ports and add the S-video/audio mod to the systems for an extra $15.

All CD drives have been repaired by me and have been thoroughly tested to ensure functionality. Will post some pics shortly. I will gladly cut some off the price if you don't need a controller or 3.0 system card.

Systems on hold for

1. Bernie
2. SeymorOnion
3. jeffhlewis       Shipped
4. Rosser           Shipped
5. jperryss         Shipped

Here are a couple pics. All of the systems I have look equally as good.

Ooh, might be interested. Would you consider region-modding for an additional fee?

Looking forward to pics. :D

Dude, if these are complete with cover and all, I may pick one up.  :)

Yes with cover Bernie. The only thing that I don't have is any white pc engine controllers which is why I am including converted TG16 controllers instead. Will give a 12 discount if not controller is wanted.

I would also be willing to region mod them for an additional $40.

I've been all over Houston, and the surrounding areas, trying to track down a Plastics Engineer/CAD Designer.
Finally found one a few days back, but I have to wait for him to finish another project, before he can work with me.

Now that I have a little free time, I'm going to take a stab at playing Mysterious Song.
I also got the pre-order-bonus Behind the Scenes DVD but I haven't watched it yet.
Gonna save it for after completing the game.

Wow!  What a great deal, Keith Courage!  I got a CD drive from you not too long ago to complete my briefcase unit, so I don't really need another one right now.  But I'd be all over it for the price you're offering.  It's such an awesome looking console.

Keith does great work and I know anyone purchasing one of these will be very happy.

I know this is for complete systems but do you have a stripped briefcase with cover? I'd be coming back around later to get a CD drive off you in a few months. I have a PCE and 3.0 card, I just for now want to nail down getting the IFU-30.

I'd rather sell these complete and not have extra PCE systems or cd drives laying around.

Kieth, I would like a nice white PCE for mine, if you have someone who only wants an IFU, I would take the rest of it.

I'm looking to get the Cd drive, IFU and Ram card. Did you just want the PCE or the CD drive as well?

If only this wasn't in america... The import fees would kill me if I tried to import one of these.

I used to do some of that work.  Mostly I was on the moldmaking side, but after running cnc and edm for a while I ended up doing a lot of 3d design and modelling as part of writing tool paths and cutting electrodes.  Never got into serious mold design but by the time I left in 2007 I was starting to get into the design side of the operation.  I dont know what the popular software of today is but I used Missler TopSolid and SolidWorks 2005 for design and Cimatron for CNC.

Anywho, nice price on some refurb'd briefcases.  Another one Bernie?  Didnt you just get one?

The most mentioned software for product and mold design, from the people I spoke to, was Solid Works.

By the way, Keith, you can go ahead and mod mine last.
I can pay now (just pm or e-mail me the total, and preferred payment method),
it's just that last weekend a buyer ordered over 300 GBA Cardboard Insert Trays from me, exhausting my supply, and then some.
I'm going to have to spend the next week or two making more (a large part of making them requires me to do so by hand), and will probably also need about a week to rest/recover.  :P

Yep I did Blue.  :)  This one is a stock one though.

From what I could tell, SolidWorks is a lot easier to design from scratch.  TopSolid was way more powerful but also much more difficult to learn to use.
