What do you guys make of the following? Claims to be A NEC TG-16 used at shows and events to promote upcoming games/the system.

it may be (or is) a sample unit, but I wouldn't call this out a whole prototype. It may not even differ much to the retail version, except the different stickers put on the back.
I'm curious about the internals, but I don't want it for the silky price it will bid up to. (https://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgsad.png)
I'm sure it's a standard system. It even has the FCC ID info. molded into the case.
