Title: newer Mega Drive bootleg carts coming out of Korea
Post by: PCEngineHell on 12/16/2013, 03:40 PM
Was just wondering/curious, as I have been seeing these pop up a lot on ebay from Korean sellers, anyone know how well these are manufactured? Are they using eproms, flash chips or maskroms/gloptop etc?

probably not much help, but i think these were mentioned on a uk site: (scroll down)

and on a couple more pages. The person displaying them, yakumo, is also a member of
ASSEMblergames.com so you will probably find more information on there.

I like the megadrive carts more then the genesis carts. So if these are the same price. Might have to buy some

yes, they do look very good reproductions when made into full kit
(finding empty cart shells/cases, printing out the cart stickers and case inserts)
probably fool most unwary collectors.
