so here it comes, the quest for one of your, or probably even the absolute toppest of the top of the top very best of the best red book audio moments in the PCE/TG16 history.
here is one best of the uber best of mine (sapphire stage 3 - guitar solo starting @ 2:12 (https://youtu.be/W9LlzxGHzGU?t=2m12s)): Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire - Stage 3 [PC Engine] Music
http://youtu.be/W9LlzxGHzGU
it's sooo such much very good, that it seems to be from another world.
so what's one of your, or probably even the absolute toppest of the top of the top very best of the best PCE red book moment in your personal "red" book? :)
what the fuck guy, how am I supposed to post a video if you post the one I was going to post.
goddamn.
I'd have sex to that
Any track from Ys. Ya can't go wrong with 'em.
Ys 3 was built on the music.
I had this in my car as an audio cd for a long time, love this track

That's all I'll say about that. :)

And Bloody Tears in Redbook Glory. Extended version too. :)

That song is fantastic, as is the song while actually fighting Dark Fact. Perhaps my favorite video game music of all time.

Yea, the entire TGCD Ys Book I & II OST pretty much take a huge, steaming shit on all other video game soundtracks created before or after it. All of them. Lords of Thunder, Rondo of Blood, Gate of Thunder, Streets of Rage, Tempest 2000, Viewpoint, <insert whatever game here>. ALL. OF. THEM.
Daytona! Oh wait not a Sega Saturn track. Um the boss music from YS 4. The Ywenie sound a like track rules. Enough said.
Every track of sapphire is awesome.
Love Bloody Tears on any medium.
This is one of the tops for me:)

Agreed.
Now, folks here have argued that Ys III is better than Ys I & II, but that is nonsense. Ys III is awesome, yes. But two games (I & II) of utterly amazing music simply push ahead of the admirable Ys III.
BACK ON TOPIC: But, before Ys I & II, there was this...

The opening sequence/overworld music tracks to Tengai Makyo II were done by Joe Hisaishi, the guy who did most of Studio Ghibli's music. They sound so much like him that you could probably play them blind to someone who only knew his Ghibli stuff and they'd guess it.
Personally, I think the overworld music is about as good as any RPG track I've ever heard.

I'll admit I've got a soft spot for sea of love:

Are you still here !? Though i told you leave ! How many times must i repeat myself !
I'm diggin' all the Ys love in this thread. :D
Two of my favs:
Ys Book 1 (Turbo Grafx CD) - Temple Theme (https://youtu.be/pWEcXOOvdnM)

Ys IV - Dawn of Ys PCE Soundtrack - Bronze District (https://youtu.be/JV2c5TfROM8)

The credits bgm of Tengai Makyou Fuun Kabuki Den is as good as it gets in every way, but it's elevated even further by how it reminisces all the places you've visited and adventures you've had, while also celebrating the soundtrack in general. Probably the classiest ending to a video game.

This is pretty much what I listen to when I'm driving around, along with PC Engine City:

That's a mix of HuCARD and Redbook, though.

There are so many to choose with Ys games, it goes without saying.
The track from level 3 of Gate of Thunder is one of my faves.
GoT 3 (https://youtu.be/BsKlYL2jmIc#)
Lords of Thunder's Dezant is also a fave.
LoT Dezant (https://youtu.be/pu_pNnEymLY#ws)
I don't mind a little keyboard and electronic crap in my rockin' guitar, drum, and bass.
Oh, and sorry, I got to playing with some of the editor font tools, just for fun. I won't do it often.
yeah, got lvl 3 is one of the best ever.. glad you posted it, i was just waiting for that :)

Nothing against the main theme of the PCE and FEKA-CD versions but I prefer the original theme that plays at the intro of the PC versions (PC-88/MSX/etc.)...
Snatcher - Twilight of Neo Kobe City (MSX) [original] (https://youtu.be/Hla2kUmsKUQ#)

I'm currently playing through the MSX version. Very cool so far. Still gotta take One Night though.
If I had to pick one track that really made me fall in love with teh Turbo, it's the opening "premonition" theme from Ys III. Somehow the sound of it transports me back in time even though I never played the game as a kid. First time playing it was 06 or so. Maybe the instruments used are distinctive to the period.
