SGFX uses the PAD-113
DC 9V 800mA
Center plug negative.

TG16 uses..
DC 10.5V 730mA
Center plug negative.

as long the plug fits it should work, altough in a slight risky condition, since the voltage is higher (-> will produce a bit more heat at the internal 7805) and the amperage is slightly to low (in the specification only), I dont think the SGFX sucks fully 800mA.

please also confirm the TG16 specs with yours, since I have those information from the internet and never saw one in person.

Don't do this, as the NES adaptor outputs 9V AC, while the TGX needs DC.  You could potentially damage your TGX!

yeah better dont help at all than telling some fair tales out of the blue that might risk the life of his poor system.

looking online I did get an answer, the supergrafx uses a 9v 800ma whiile the tg16 uses a 10v

Haha, congratulations! I guess $185 wouldn't have been enough anyway.

I've learned now that I should never listen to you about anything.

An official NES power adapter is a beast of a power supply that outputs in AC and will fry just about any other console it would be used on.  I can't count the number of busted Sega CDs I've seen because someone tried to use a NES supply on it.  Thankfully they have a fuse which can be replaced though.

Do you know when you are getting this? I'm interested to learn how it all works out!

getting what exactly?

Tatsujin: OP sort of accidentally won one on ebay lol

OP: you can always get one of those adjustable/universal adapters with the various different connectors and in the voltage range you need.  Hell, if it does 9V AND 10.5V it'd work on the TG16 and the SGX both.

I've been using a TG-16 power brick on a toploading NES for about 8 years now, lol.
