I'd suggest to get just the board. You can get the shell from any cheapie.

Just a small hole for the SD Card.

Hey, i have a question.... whats the difference between this mega everdrive and the mega everdrive v3 that's much cheaper selling for $78?

The more expensive one has faster loading times, supports bigger roms, has an in game menu (special for couch potatoes) and may be used as a Sega CD ram cart.

If you get the shell, will they be arriving complete?

The only way I am  interested is if I do not have to do anything and it is fully built.  I am a moron and couldn't figure it out otherwise.

So after some reevaluating I am probably down with this, shell or no shell.  This is the one with the FPGA right, that could technically also offer FM for SMS games down the line?

I could go either way on the shell - easy enough to cannibalize a cart if need be.

NP, guys. All packages have been shipped out (as of 1pm MST) I have PM'ed everyone there tracking numbers. When i packed these i put the ones with shells together, so not to lose the screws and to protect the PCB. the ones without, shells i used extra bobble wrap.

This goes without saying but big thanks and +turbokarma for organizing this buy!

I'm glad everyone is getting the megaever drive safe and sound. I can't wait til i have some extra money to get a turbo and super ever drive

Finally got a chance to play with mine over the weekend.  I was a bit concerned at first because I couldn't get the OS to load, but I discovered that an older or knock off SD card may have issues with the device. 

I was using a 16MB (yes MB, that's not a misspelling) SD card and it wouldn't pick that up.  I switched to a newer 8GB microSD and everything worked great.  The bios switching for SegaCDs is the main reason I picked this up, and it performed pretty well for most games that I played with.
