Title: Disassemble Interface Unit (IFU)?
Post by: Ghudda on 05/11/2014, 09:42 AM
My IFU is a bit yellowed and I wanted to take the main white plate that sites under the CD2 and PCE and put it through the whitening process. I unscrewed 9 screws in the back and notice that the back section comes loose but I cannot get the white bottom section to separate from the body of the IFU. Can someone explain how to disassemble the briefcase? Primarily to get access to the On/Off switch and the bottom plate.

Thanks!

Found a helpful tip in a previous thread and was able to successfully disassemble it.
Get as small of a flat head screwdriver as you can and there are plastic tabs on the sides underneath the white tray. If you can wedge the screwdriver down the side between the white tray and the bottom of the IFU, you can pop the tabs out. I plan on making a video in the near future on the dis assembly.
