It pains me to let go of these, but my grandmother is in the hospital, my car broke down, and my kids are being held for ransom by terrorists... so I have to raise some funds.

1. Sherlock Holmes II - CIC (manual has some insertion marks, disc 85% new)
2. Loom - CIC (sealed with hangtab; shrinkwrap is mint)

I'm asking $399.99 for this lot, but feel free to PM me with offers if you want to pay more. Highest bidder wins. Kind of like a silent auction.

seriously, sold? wtf who would pay that? I sold a sealed sherlock holmes on here a few years ago for $10 and i sold a used loom for like $20 or $25. My o my how times have changed. This is shameful, really.

Lol... I posted this the day I received these two games from BlueBMW's sale thread... actually, i posted it moments after i posted the same picture in his sale thread. I paid $45, so $60 from retrocool would have been a successful flip.

But no... i didn't really sell these and don't intend to. :lol: This was just a joke thread made in light of the Wmac/DK/Nightwolve/Me battle royale.

lol u had me fooled, yeah we're all probably on edge about recent pricing increases. I've seen those threads with people trying to sell stuff for a million dollars, it just irks me, because i'm trying to complete my collection and its become virtually impossible to buy anything because of the high prices. I've been stuck for the last 4 or 5 years, unable to add to my collection, so yeah i'm a bit jumpy when i see these threads, it's irritating to say the least, it sucks how high the prices have become, soon we'll see power golf and keith courage for 50 bucks and china warrior for 100 bucks lol.

if u sold a sealed Sherlock holmes for 10 bucks then you are the one that got ripped off..sorry....new games cost more than that, any system any gen any year. You just don't see new games for 10 bucks unless u are trying desperately to get some sort or street/forum credit.

gouging is gouging, and that's very bad. But 10 bucks for new games? That's just stupidity, and this is no ones fault but your own. =;

It seems u may have missed my point. A few years back sealed games like sherlock holmes were actually quite common. TZD liquidated all of their stock, and at one point it was all over the place, being sold for $10 or $15 new, sometimes even less than that. Ebay was flooded with it, sometimes it would get no bids etc. You could literally open the front door and trip over copies of sherlock holmes. Now perhaps since a few years have passed and its not quite as easy to find, maybe its worth $20? or $15? $17.50 maybe? Something like that. Even today some new sealed turbobs can be aquired for $10 ie. sonic spike, power golf, tv sports football/hockey/basketball, world class baseball etc. I sold sherlock holmes for $10 at the time because thats what it was worth, not out of stupidity as u say. At that time sealed copies of games like buster bros, cosmic fantasy 2, exile, etc. were also inexpensive and common, slightly more than 10, i think they were around the 19.99 range. My whole point is that it's ridiculous how hiked up the prices have become for these games that were once considered common.

Sounds like you just happen to live in an unfortunate area for retro gouging. Lots of "good" sealed Playstation games are available at various store where I live for <$5 - $30 and they plus other less popular games rot on shelves. Even on eBay this is true.

Each of those links is for a noteworthy Playstation game or series. Most of those sealed copies sold for $5 - $15*. You just aren't that great at game shopping and/or aren't very familiar with what games really sell for. Even given that, when you give advice on pricing, people here still won't throw you under the bus and as has been explained, no one gets banned in this forum and obviously no one was ever serious about suggesting that you should be. You should have a sense of various member's personalities by now to know that looking back.

*If you can confirm that sealed Playstation games are actually selling locally for like $40 at least, then you should quit your current job, open your own store and get rich flipping the endless supply of titles on eBay. Seriously.
