Title: Yet another eBay gem
Post by: bob on 08/15/2014, 11:12 AM
So I see this listing today for King of Casino and Andre Panza (CIC) for $1.60 each.
Now, mind you, I fully expected for this not to work out, but for $3.20, it was worth the risk.
I do the BIN, pay immediately, and right away, I get refunded.

this message comes in:

Dear galam,
I just issued a refund.  A goverrat unlawfully accessed my Ebay account and editted the listing to read 115 items available at $1.60.  I'm not sorry about this, as I'm not sorry about ANY attack by the goverrats.

If you're upset or disapointed, you shouldn't be: You should have seen the obvious inconsistencies in the listing.  The description should have been a blatant clue to this auction not being true.  For example, having 115 available would be almost impossible, especially all in the same condition.  Another thing that should have tipped you off is that the description states there is only 2 cards available, while the quantity reads 115.

If you have a problem with the refund or any of my explanation, contact customer service or open a Case with Ebay.  If you leave negative feedback, I'm going to have it removed as records will show it was editted from computers I do not use.

JM
- ridgewood_general_store_1

The description was VERY long and full of crap, but nowhere did I see "115 available".  The auction said "2 available", meaning BOTH games.
Anyway, now, eBay has this stuck in my shopping cart and still requesting payment.  I have sent him two more notes, but no response yet.

/games/casino.jpg

When I click the link to the auction in the shopping cart, it takes me to the relisted item for $12.40 each. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/151361322756)
WTF?

They called Arnold the Governator when he was in office. Maybe this guy lives in a colony of rats or something and is pissed about their leader, the goverrat. But then he said there were more than one at the end. I am so confused.

People with MH issues shouldn't be allowed to sell things on ebay where they have to corresponde with the general public..

this is why I don't sell things on ebay.

I'm assuming he means that evil government Illuminati conspirators have a plan to hack into all Turbografx-16 eBay listings and artificially inflate prices by $10 per auction? Makes sense to me.

Getting better, he finally got back to me...

Dear ridgewood_general_store_1,
these items are back in my "shopping cart" requesting the $3.20 payment again.
-galam

Dear galam,
I can't do it. How about $10 for the first one and $6 for the one you don't quite want as much. $16 plus shipping?
JM
-ridgewood_general_store_1

Dear ridgewood_general_store_1,
um...no thanks.  I'll just resend the $3.20 payment to satisfy the original listing again.
I'll probably send it later tonight, so I have enough time to leave feedback.  I think others need to be aware of how you do business.
Also, I'm not sure of what a "goverrat" is, but I hope you get them out of your computer soon.
-galam

THEN, he opens a case to cancel the transaction.  My response in the text box...

Its a well known fact that the NSA hacks eBay listings all the time to suppress prices and keep honest people from making a decent living. :P

"Goverrats" my ass! This is about The Search for More Money. He probably posted the listing, saw that he might be able to get more than that, and then you bought it before he could change the listing. Now he's trying to weasel out of the hole he dug himself.

No lulz in his reply:

Quote$9.50 for the first one and $5.50 for the second one is my counteroffer, but I can't tie up the listing, so I'm messaging the offer manually. $15 plus shipping for I will not reduce the price of the listing. Don't forget to tell me which 1 or 2 you
I've counter offered with an additional 10% ($1.10 each):  "I are offerings to save both copies Flush Royal and King of Hearts Casino from the goverrats!  Hurry!  'Rats gonna be drawn to dem slot cherries like moths to a fiery flame, and nobody will want teh Kasino Kingler after he's been gnaweded upon!"

Goverrats are the hackers paid for by the government that have only two purposes, to adjust the ebay auctions of right wing supporters and to force you to sign up for Obamacare while they eat your cheese.

QuoteMy store is no  longer offering unscrupulously and incorrectly-edited listing of 115 Turbo Grafx cards at the ridiculously-low price of $1.60 each, so I refused your offer of $1.10.  On the other hand I can sell you 115 of "New Transfer Roller- RF5-1394-000; HP LaserJet or Canon; BIG VOLUME DISCOUNT"

I would accept $1.40 each plus the listed handling and shipping charges.  Thanks.

and more...

Dear galam,
Ok. If you want to lose $3.20 plus shipping, pay it again. But I'm telling you for the second time to not send it. Ebay allows for mistakes in listings as reasons not to honor a payment. I can clearly show why the listing was not right right before you bought the 2 items.
In fact a different auction has 115 items and for the price you originally paid, indicating it was somehow repeated. I didn't do it, so I think someone else did. There's no reason for me to do it, so it was something or someone else. If it were me, I would have had to adjust the price and the quantity while editing. I can see mistakenly editing the price OR the quantity, but not both at about the same time. It is clear I didn't edit the auction, and so it is clear Ebay will honor my side in a feedback dispute.
You indicated hostility and so I will now not allow you to purchase something. I have already lost a listing fee and the time to communicate with you plus adjustments to the original listings. I opened a non-paying bidder case in such a manner as to let you off the hook of responsibility of paying.
It is improper to use Ebay in a hostile manner. Do not attack my reputation or financial account through Ebay, or will defend it to the end.
JM

Dear ridgewood_general_store_1
Let's break this down...

You wrote:  You indicated hostility
My response:  YOU are the one that went all goverrat on me from the start.  Saying that "I should have known better" and "I'm not sorry".  Essentially indicating that it was MY fault I purchased your games.

You wrote:  I will now not allow you to purchase something
My response:  Obviously.  You already refunded me when I paid right away.

You wrote:   I opened a non-paying bidder case in such a manner as to let you off the hook of responsibility of paying
My response:  Get your ebay facts straight.  You didn't open a non-paying bidder case since I tried to pay.  You sent me a "cancellation request" which I did not accept.

By now, you should have just taken the $12 hit and mailed me the games at the agreed upon price.  Has this exchange been worth $12?
P.S... payment sent again for the $11.28 since it was still sitting in my shopping cart.
-galam

I like how he seems to think it is only possible to mistakenly in put the cost or quantity of an listing but not both....  Because clearly a mistake of that magnitude is impossible and clearly he never makes mistakes to begin with so it must have been a Goverat.

Also he will defend his reputation to the end but list the BUYER is the issue...
