Dragon's Curse is fantastic. 

Only one of the games I voted for in the first part didn't make it.  Narrowing down my list by 4 was challenging.  Let's go Blazing Lazers!

Dragon's Curse was one of my most played games back when I had it.  I wanna track down another copy one day soon.

Voting for Dragon's Curse in the first round was a no-brainer for me.  I actually gave it play-through recently.  Well, almost.  I couldn't defeat the final boss.  I think it's a good one.

My only real objection to this second round list is Neutopia II.  Just not a fan I guess.

I'm joking of course. The reason I have been doing these polls the way I have is because up to this particular phase, there has been a natural break in the voting. double digit voting has so far constituted what the next phase will hold. Though I may have some trouble as this one is all over the place. The reason I go in phases instead of just a 3 vote and call it good is because...honestly, it didn't even occur to me. I like the idea of eliminating games that don't belong through stages, I guess.

Actually, I do like the larger number of votes and gradual winnowing down of titles. It feels a little more organic. And if you are a little undecided in the beginning, it give you time to become decided when it comes down to the final vote. Also, it helps to slowly restrict choice, and results in better quality separation.

Man, I like the Ninja as much as the next guy, defo in my top ten hucards, but compared to Air Zonk, Blazing Lazers, and Bonks Revenge... theres just no way  :P

There's definitely going to be more disagreement on the best games than on the worst games. I don't think Splatterhouse belongs in the top 10, but clearly folks disagree.

Splatterhouse is nice, but not Top 10. I think the problem arises because of the limited number of titles in some genres. If you aren't a shootemup fan, or a JJ & Jeff fan, Splatterhouse sneaks onto the list.

I hate these polls. Weeks of spam that inevitably draw the same results as the first page of the initial poll.

Splatterhouse is a good game, but not a great game.  The in-game graphics are gorgeous (and gory) and the music is nice, but the controls are a little stiff and clunky, to me.  If I were forced to rate it 1 to 10, I'd probably give it a 7 or 7.5, no more.

splatterhouse has a lot of nostalgia for me.  it was the first game i got with my turbo back in xmas of '89.   for me, it was a system seller.  i was 12 and it really felt like i had moved away from the NES which i perceived at the time as a more junior oriented gaming system.  i think there is a fair amount of folks voting for splatterhouse that share the same memories i do.

The arcade ver. feels similar if not identical, at least, to me. So that's a thing.

Most of these are great.  I do love me some Bonk, but at the end of the day the best is Soldier Blade!
