Who is really that curious about buggy pre-release versions? Or was the attraction the eprom-card used for testers?
I can't think of many things that I worked on that had significant bits removed at the last minute ... most decisions like that are (in my experience) usually made long before you're burning test carts.
Good to finally see an actual "Rare" item! So tired of seeing every fucking listing on ebay as "Rare" now days.
Damn. What if this is the version with the alternative soundtrack?

I think it'd be interesting what sort of graphical and musical findings there would be once this was dumped. You know they prolly removed all sorts of sh!t when they cleaned up the code for retail release.
I got a Parasol Stars EPROM board like that about 8 years ago on Yahoo Japan, for much less money of course. Sadly, it was identical to the release version, IIRC. I guess Taito was generous with giving out evaluation copies.

Shame to hear that Chris as I have some pre-release Neo Geo MVS boards that are dated only a month or two before the production released date and are very different indeed.
