Title: Good Morning From Altamont, Ny
Post by: Wizard2694 on 02/16/2015, 10:20 AM
Good Morning!
I am happy that I have found this site again! I have recently purchased a DUO-R, however had to order a power adapter and a/v cable and have 3 JAP/HUCARDS coming with it. I am in the process of looking for a decent converter to play USHUCARDS as well! I remember having the tg16/cd along with the Turbo Duo and loved them and now to have the very stable Japanese unit makes me happy to no end :) Does anyone know where I can get a cheap converter from? I would like to get the component mod and region mod on it, however that can be costly and I just want to play my games in the meantime. please let me know and I am glad to be part of this scene again. Feel free to message me in this forum and long live the PC Engine!

Welcome, comrade. :)

There are many options for you. Choose wisely. Do not look back. Chin up. Soldier on. Tiptoe through the tulips.

Godspeed.

Welcome aboard!

The Turbo PC Henshin from db electronics (http://www.db-elec.com/home/products/turbo-pc-henshin) is the only converter that'll let you play US games on a PCE without requiring an internal mod.  Either snag one of those or put the money towards region and component mods from one of the tech guys here.

P.S. - Do not type "jap".  Spell it out or use "jp".
