Hello everyone. I'm new around here and new to the turbo.
As a kid I always wanted one but we didn't have much when I was growing up so I never got one. I did have an Nes and a genesis. I still have most of my old collection and now I've caught the retro gaming bug. But I guess I'm a bit late to the party seeing how some of the games I've always wanted to play tend to be over priced.
Anyway I came across 2 relatively cheap TG16's and I was super excited..... only to find out I can't get them to work. I've been searching through the forums hoping I can find an answer before I even have to ask so maybe soon I'll be finally able to actually play some proper TG16.
Welcome aboard!
Some TG-16 are indeed kinda pricey, but there's a lot that are fairly reasonable and even more if you get a region mod and get the PCE equivalent. Or just get an everdrive.
Welcome, comrade. :)
Welcome aboard. I hope you get your turbos working soon.
Hi and welcome! I got my turbo really late too (like 6 months ago lol) but I LOVE IT. Good luck with the repairs.
Welcome. Hold my hand.
Welcome, always great to have a fellow New Yorker aboard!
Holy crap got one working! I doubt anyone has ever been as excited as I was to see the Keith Courage title screen. This one unit in particular had sound but no picture. After changing caps and having no luck I reflowed solder where ever I thought it looked a bit meh and bingo. Hopefully I'll be able to get the second one going soon.
Awesome! Congrats on getting one of your units up and running. Sounds like you're on your way to great fun in no time :)
Great work!!! A true fan in the making!
Welcome Aboard!

DUDE! Don't forget to report back here. We don't care if you only played the first level of Keith Courage, we just want to hear that you haven't betrayed us for FEKA.
Wait, that's it, isn't it?
You've been playing FEKA 100% of the time since your last post, haven't you?
Damn.
Sorry I don't know what FEKA is
I've been real busy but have been able to play a few minutes here and there and everything looks good.

FEKA = SEGA :)
Like este said, it's Sega. Search out the "johnny turbo" advertisements for more info. (and a few lulz).
Oh wow I vaguely remember Sega being called Feka by some back in the day.
I don't remember Johnny Turbo though but did find the whole story behind the character and comic rather amusing. Thanks for helping increase my knowledge on some Turbo history. :)

Johnny Turbo, back in the day, made absolutely no impact. It didn't register a blip on anyone's radar.
A few years ago, when sardoose (I forget) wrote about the comic, it became more widely known.
While I enjoy his commentary, he lacked the historical knowledge/experience evaluate Johnny Turbo accurately. Otherwise, it's quite humorous.
:)
A belated welcome to PCEnginefx!
