Shocked. Just so shocked and saddened by this news.

It's too bad, and it's a bummer that people didn't like the Digital Event.
I know it wasn't popular but my kids absolutely loved it, and maybe that was the target audience.
Big changes are happening at Nintendo, but nobody expected one of this magnitude.
Great man, his Kirby games were my childhood. Adventure and Dream Land are still dope.
Oh man, that's too bad.
Shocking to say at least. It's not a good time for nintendo with how the wii-u has had sluggish sales and all.He was criticize for how he ran the company but i thought he did a ok job.First time i heard about it,i thought it was a joke until i read about it myself.I guess they didn't want to freak out the shareholders so the matter was kept private.
Just woke up to this. Sad news. RIP Satoru Iwata
EDIT: Threads were merged, thanks to Necro.
That sucks, RIP dude. I wonder who is next in line to steer Nintendo now?
Bummer, especially for a not-all-that-old guy.

Not any more.

Considering the state of his health looking back the event was done this way for a reason.
He was an amazing person, and the most likable head of any company, period. The quote of him being a ceo on his card, a delveloper in his mind, and a gamer in his heart, well that just says it all really.
He will be sorely missed, the Iwata asks and Nintendo Directs were great, and I hope at least the latter continues in some form.

That's some serious detective work.
Seriously disturbing detective work. Digging into someone's medical history just to know what may or may not have killed him is creepy as hell.
Can't wait to see the prices of his games (Earthbound, Kirby) skyrocket. Nothing like dumbass round eye cashing in on a dead guy.

Yes! Write, "There are some men whose kindness can be seen emanating from through their eyes at all times. Mr. Iwata is such a man. I thank the universe for allowing him to live amongst us and allowing him to share his kindness and talents with everyone on Earth. -Matt Turner"
Too corny?
