Anyone heard anything?
I noticed that the Halo 5 bundle on Amazon still has the original hulking console design. I'm kind of holding out for a more compact redesign before I pull the trigger.
Are there any news/rumors about a possible design change anytime soon? I'm not fully up to speed on the latest console gen, so thanks in advance.
Feels a bit early for a "slim" model. I swear the Xbox One just came out like last week.
After doing a quick search, it seems that a new model will be out late this year or possible next year. I wouldn't expect anything until next year.
i wouldn't see why not. they've done with with so many systems, i dont see why not with the xbox one but dont expect it soon. maybe next year or the following year since its still fairly new

Ahem yes I know this is an old thread but SuperGrafx did you trade in your original xbone for the new one?
I did it purely on the purpose that it ran on less power but it's quite a bit smaller too. They have removed the kinect connection at the back but if you have one, plus you have the serial of the original xbox one, the serial for your kinect and the new xbox one S. MS for a limited time will send you out a kinect adaptor for free.
If you have a 4k TV with HDR (and you needthen the xboneS will make use of that with the built in UHD player. But also if you are looking for UHD player I think the XboneS is the cheapest as of now.
The new xboneS controller feels great and the d-pad is much better for fighting games.

I picked one up since Amazon had an amazing deal where the system worked out to only cost me $180! Definitely like it and think it is a nice upgrade over the original. I kept both systems so I will have to get that free adapter since I didn't know they were offering it. :)

No I haven't traded up yet.
But I may around the holidays. Besides I love the new white color scheme...always been a fan of white/beige electronics.
