Title: Is anyone here a vegan?....
Post by: Sparky on 08/26/2015, 09:14 PM
If so please leave as i am sick to fuck of hearing about your ways!!!

There are relatives that belong to my wife's side who are!!! .....and when they come for a visit, holy fucking shit, tin foil on the bbq if I grill anything for them as my grill has cooked meat!! ya Holy fuck!!!!. Then looking at every fucking label on everything that we serve them in case there is an ounce of animal product in the ingredients.

Look I get vegetarian, it's still fucking annoying but not as bad as these fucking vegans that dismiss a food with a hint of animal. We are talking even a potatoe chip if it has a touch of a milk product. (( raises hands))

That said I do not eat anything they make when they are here in protest and I make sure steak is served on the same grill beside there tin foiled fuckery... :)

You know, I've never met someone who proselytized either their veganism or their CrossFit activities. Did I just do well with regards to friends?

Vegans need their own State, give them Wyoming or something equally as useless and they can all commune and bitch at each other and leave us meat eating folks alone.

I've never gone Vegan. But when I didn't eat meat for about 3 months I'd never felt better in my life. It was too hard to keep it up permanently for me.

By the way, it makes sense that wildfruit felt great when he decided not to eat meat. Of course it did, because holy crap if americans don't eat meat at every meal of their day.  I still am not used to it.

If they have a special diet, they shouldn't expect to push that diet on anyone else when they go to visit. They should do their own shopping for food locally where you are at, and cook their own meals at your place or where ever they are visiting, if the host is ok with that, if they are so concerned about what pots and pans or grills their food is touching.

As for me, gimme steak, salmon, pork, and chicken. My body would probably go into shock if I stopped eating delicious stuff in favor of twigs and bark and leaves.

I don't think I'm American?
My main problem with meat eating is that it is an incredibly wasteful process. So much energy, time and money is spent for a small return.

THIS BETTER BE FIGHTING STREET BECAUSE I AM GOING TO KICK ALL YOU LIMP-PUSSY HATERS ACROSS THE DELI COUNTER!!!!!!!

First off, I know Sparky loves hairy meat because he's sucking on my left one as I type this. I also think this post was bait for me. Ha! Or not. That's a joke. I'm not a megalomaniac. Or egoist. Or whatever.

Second, your hostility to simple requests reveals what a prick you are! Your in-laws are your guests, but you are the douchebag (is that vegan after being used?) who can't honor a simple request.

Third, are they preaching/proselytizing? It doesn't sound like it. But it does sound like you are so insecure that *simply being exposed to something "different" than what you are accustomed to* makes you uncomfortable. Otherwise, who cares?

Fourth, I want to attribute your abominable hosting skills to sheer laziness, but I feel that it goes much deeper. Much deeper. Like, scary.

Seriously, though, have you never met anyone who has some sort of dietary restriction (self-imposed or otherwise)? :)

This is really, really common knowledge if you interact with other humans! :p

My entire life, I have known countless people who, for various reasons, took a moment to think about what they ate:

Low-sodium - blood pressure
Controlling diabetes type-2 with careful diet.
Peanut allergies (like, throat-closes-shut scary)
Lactose-intolerance (diarrhea!)
Halal
Kosher/Parve
Vegetarian
Vegan

I grew up Roman Catholic, so no meat on Fridays and fasting during Lent (6 weeks is a long time unless you are flexible and are open to different things)

What's the point of this list?

This list is not representative of anything beyond my immediate family. Growing up, the idea that folks did not have to mindlessly eat was not a new or novel idea.

To consciously choose what to eat, for any reason (health, politics, religion, tradition, ethics, laziness, erotic enhancement, etc.) should not be surprising in 2015.

Personally, I have more respect for someone who consciously chooses what to buy/consume, as opposed to someone who is a mindless  zombie and never thinks about the implications of their personal choices—but I feel that way about *anyone* making *any* decision.

MORE SPECIFICALLY: are you such a lazy, dramatic cunt that you  can't handle some aluminum foil on your grill (or do they actually sell Tin Foil, or TinTin Foil in fucking Canadiola? I hope you actually are up in Canuckistan, otherwise my intended barb won't really sting. Ha!)

I AM A FUCKING LAZY BASTARD.

Truth.

I was vegan for many, many years and it required very little effort.

It takes more effort to complain about folks than it does to have a vegan diet—truth.

I am a vegetarian who knows what a lazy bastard he is.

I try to blame it on my kids, but that's a lie. I don't have to eat their leftovers. I don't eat their leftover steak, chicken, etc.

But pizza?

Pizza!?

Where are you?

I actually love vegan pizza (no, I don't like vegan cheese—stay away from it for pizza—but, rather, pizza-sans-mozzarella is still fucking awesome. You just find the kind that you like. Personally, thick slices of tomato+ basil+ tofu+ crumbled soy burger + toppings = one of countless awesome pizzas. Marinara or olive oil, it doesn't matter.

BOTTOM LINE: Laziness, inflexibility and insular views are what keep Fighting Street an endless source of drama. Sparky, you lazy cunt, I'll send some aluminum foil to you and make a YouTube video instructing you on the complexity of using it in your grill.

BOTTOM-BOTTOM LINE: I grill pizza. It is awesome. I grill tofu. Also awesome. I tried to grill flan, but it fell through and splattered on the briquettes—I should have used "tin" foil.

It's not like I'm having to go catch salmon in a net on some stream, or smash some cow in the head, then gut it and cleave the tasty parts off for my own personal use. Others do that for us so we don't have to expend so much time and energy.

As for cost, to be honest special vegan diets can run you more then if you simply stuck to a "normal" diet. Try shopping at the grocery store every few days for fresh veggies, while also adjusting your food balance to compensate for more expensive items that don't contain any animal product. Plus you will probably have to introduce soy products into your diet, and that can be its own issue for some people.

My brother in law is a vegan, and when he started this him, my sister, and their three boys food cost went up a decent amount, plus they have to run to the store more often. My sister and two of the boys don't follow the vegan diet, though they do not eat anything pork related either.

I meant it's environmentally costly rather than personally costly. So much more land has to be used. I'm not too keen on soya products but I'm a keen fan of Quorn.

Hahahhahahajah!

I sent a donation to R.I.F. on your behalf.

It is a *long* post, but it certainly isn't unorganized.

Here is the outline, so obvious in its organization and logical flow even a Professor could understand! :)

QuoteSECTION I
*Obligatory insult
*4 succinct responses to Sparky (labeled,  "First", "Second", "Third" , "Fourth")

SECTION II
*A more serious, general non-incendiary discussion of dietary habits. No drama.

SECTION III
*Since prior section was so dry, it makes sense to get back to insults, but this time I openly admit that I am just as guilty as Sparky in being lazy.
*I like self-deprecating humor. And I really will send him "tin foil". I might be too lazy to make a video, though. :)

I'm conscious of what I eat, and I try to minimize meat-eating, but I don't think ultimately it's too little return. I like a balance, and will eat meat, just not go to McDonald's where their burgers are shrinking the Amazon rainforest or KFC who sources chickens from quite terrible farms.

I could never give it all up. A nice ribeye might be a rarity, but when I do have one, it's glorious. I'd prefer to fight for sustainability and actively avoid and bring awareness about those places that shun it. Besides, it's not like it's feasible in our globalized society to always choose the morally correct path. Clothes, phones, even video games and computers all have a severe negative environmental effect. I'd be hypocritical if I gave up meat but kept my Samsung phone around.

Esteban, seriously I had no idea you were a little vegan bitch, and there cousins of my wife's and no they do not preach it but it is always there, and part of the conversation more times then I like.

I get the dietary restriction but there in place a lot of times for health reasons so I can respect that, but vegan?  When you cannot have one god damn potato chip because of the slightest trace of milk you got a fucking problem.

And no, there is no place for tin foil on my grill, you get the oven bitch!

And jibbajaba my friend was in the hospital for 2 weeks because he hit his head on the pavement, he was just hanging around with friends not being evil ( hence why I hate gay marriage stuff because a friend was put in a hospital for almost no reason)!

Being new is irrelevant.  Five years from now, you'll still be a gay basher with an IQ below 60.

Hanging out with friends at an anti-gay rally.  I mean, seriously.  If you said that your friend was hurt at a Klan rally, you would get sympathy from no one.  The fact that your friend was only supporting the persecution of gays rather than blacks does nothing to bolster your case in my eyes.

Edit: Just so that I am being completely clear, anyone who goes to an anti-gay protest is an asshole.  I'm sorry that your asshole friend was in the hospital for 2 weeks, but that's what happens when you decide to act like an asshole towards a large group of people.  Maybe he learned his lesson, but I doubt it.

You misunderstood, I said that he was a for gay marriage (he wasn't against it as far as I know but I can't tell) he was going to a bar or something, but I realiszed I was immature I should have just said:
I dont mind vegan or gay people unless they effect me in a way, in this case my friend being sent to the hospital for no reason. I'm sorry if I offenced someone :( Im just so pissed today! Again I'm sorry so let's forget this crap.

Well, this turned into something...

Being gay is fine, tossing the word "Faggot" around is a bit suspect though, as the trend of someone who uses it a bit too liberally has closeted issues most of the time.

My .02 on any trend, be it veggie/vegan/sucking cock/whatever you wanna do it, knock yerself out, don't preach to me about it though.

You wanna be a vegan, awesome more meat for me, you wanna be gay, awesome more pussy for me.

Simple really...

Meh, you could do better trolling here. The story and backstory is so unbelievable, that no one would fall for it. You should try to flesh out some details, and maybe use imagery to describe your seething rage.

But kudos for keeping up the troll charade.

I was born on the date of the PC Engine console release, October 30th 1987, which is 27 years and 304 days ago.
But I'm 38 years old, I just live in a time anomaly, twisted by console release dates.
