Our friend
@A Black Falcon has a FANTASTIC historical blog about video games. Check it out guys!
He has a master's degree in history, so I wouldn't take his information lightly.

I, Brian (aka A Black Falcon on the internet) am a video and computer game fan with a masters' in history. I like talking about games and making lists and long posts. :p
Most of the reviews, previews, etc. here I also post, or posted, elsewhere, usually NeoGAF and Tendo City (though occasionally other forums as well, such as Sega-16 or PC Engine FX), but I think it's worthwhile to have it on a blog too, blogs and forums are different. On a blog like this they don't get buried and lost, which, for posts like these, is a good thing I think. :) It puts all of my work in one place, which is great.
Most screenshots are borrowed from GameFAQs; it's either that or I'd have no pictures here, because while I like writing stuff, making my own screenshots is not something I enjoy, or could do for newer consoles that can't be easily emulated (off-screen wouldn't be ideal...). The images that rotate in the site's top bar are my own photos of bits of my collection, however.
All of the text on the site and the top-bar photos is my work. Don't copy it.

QuoteRanking my Consoles, favorite to least favorite.
Note that This is purely opinion-based here! Also, all systems from #1 to #20 I like; it's only the bottom six that I don't like as much, though they have plenty of great games of course.

I stopped reading when I got to the retard's Zero Wing review and his tired line "as usual for TG16 games, [it's] lacking parallax scrolling." Like his W-Ring review, he could say it has very little parallax or that the parallax is unimpressive, but saying it has none altogether is utterly false. You don't even have to play through the game to find some, as the very first level has the starfield background scrolling independently; and further along you find independent scrolling floors in the third and final stages.
TL;DR - Black Falcon is a moron.
Don't steal my pictures!
(pictures stolen from gamefaqs)
I'm just wondering, when did parallax make or break a game or console? That's like saying the Legend of Zelda is an amazing game but it becomes one of the worst games of all time because no parallax.
Lol geise you got me. There are tears in my eyes now from laughing so hard.
QuoteI played and finished this game recently, and wrote up a short-ish review of my thoughts. I've expanded it a bit here, but it's shorter than most of my full reviews.

Yeah, totally short. It's a 2193 word essay on fucking Doraemon.

It's about the same length as a Brothers Duomazov review.

Why do you always call me out when you are wrong?
The brothers duomazov review of Doraemon is 549 words. And it's definitely a normal length for one of his reviews.
All I did was the eye test. I wasn't comparing to the same game, just in general at Bro Duomazov.
If you want to criticize, direct it at sentences like:
Another good point of the game is the mostly well-designed difficulty curve that starts out easy, but gets much more difficult in the second half of the game.
Yeesh.
