Well, I'm looking for it...
Here's a RAM hack (DEII (J)) that lets you walk nearly anywhere:
$3626:FF
(https://www.chrismcovell.com/images/DE2-cheat1.gif)
Also, at the character select screen, $9A48:00-1X lets you choose inaccessible characters (BE, for example).
Let me know if anybody finds other hidden or unused stuff in the game / ISO.
Just the Japanese version? That's pretty neat either way.

You can test out the US version for me if you have it, moneybags.
Lol

Here's a dumb question. Let's say you're Dr. Moneybags esq. and have the US copy of the game, how would you go about testing this?
Dr. Moneybags would likely also have a Turbo Everdrive, in which case he could download my patch for a JP Super System Card (and apply it) as part of PCEmon ( https://www.chrismcovell.com/PCEmon/index.html (https://www.chrismcovell.com/PCEmon/index.html) ) since the latest version has a RAM-freezing feature right in the Backup RAM menu:

Or else, use TurboRip to make an ISO/Cue of his game, run that in the emulator Mednafen, and edit the RAM ($1626 if looking at "RAM" in the debugger) to $FF.
Don't forget the Esquire. Dr. Moneybags esq. didn't go to law school for 4 years after getting his MD to not be referred to as a lawyer. I'll check it out when I get home tonight.

Digging through the debris of the pcefx forums, I have finally uncovered this gem of a thread!
Do we have any follow-up?
Sadly, I still haven't used my Everdrive.
In my defense, I am an idiot.
And, I am too easily tempted to play Soldier Blade or Blodia instead of learning how to use new things (Everdrive).

CLARIFICATION: Chris, you were referring to the unlockable characters (like the robot), correct?
You didn't discover any *previously unknown* characters...

Nope, nothing unknown.
The only caveat about the "walk through walls" cheat is that it only works (as-is) if you start a new game. A continue/load will turn off the code.
