Getting ready for this possible 2-3 feet of snow dumped on us tonight.... Heading into work to get some last minute shit done and getting my ass back home.... Hope everyone involved/ affected keeps power through the high winds and remember to unplug your console's when not in use so if yall lose power no power surge to fry anything.... Stay safe yalls.... And FUCK THE SNOW
Sorry to be a whiner but what's a "whinner"?
Is it the opposite of "looser"?
Edited you grammar Nazi fuck.. Lol
2-3 feet in one shot? Funk dat shite! That's the average annual snowfall here, and usually only 6 inches at a time or less, and that's enough for me.

Yeah I'm here in Maryland.. We are not known for this kinda snow either... Freak storm... Supposed to start in bout an hour and taper off early Sunday morn.... Good luck east coasters
Should have called them East Coast Wieners.
We don't get snow here. Only once every few years or so and even then it's usually only around for a few days or up to a week or two.

Did you mean Danke? :-"
Forgot to add quotes and did not mean "Donkey". I meant the "mispelling." (Fuck man, keep the joke going!)
And everything is covered... Hope the power stays on I just got my avenue 6 controller today... :( sigh first world problems
I'm from Maryland too. It hasn't even started here yet, what area are you from?
I'm in lusby right next to Solomon's island
I WILL BE SHOVELING.
Fuck yeah! Snow!

Ah, you're a bit further south than I am. Anyway, now it's coming down at a pretty steady pace.
Stay safe man.. Hope we all get to keep power
Hey, thanks. You too! It is looking like it's slowed down quite a bit, but the night is young yet. I for one would be pleased if the storm was overestimated. I guess we'll see! We made chicken noodle soup, got a big glass of iced tea and about to sit down with some video games so I'm all set for the evening.
I think I was a little blessed... I had a avenue 6 controller that wasn't supposed to come into tomorrow and it was delivered today... So now I'm enjoying some street fighter on pc engine the way it was meant to be played.... Here's to lets fucking hope overhyped storm.. Game on
I bought new snow shovels tonight and stocked my pantry with ZIMA.
I'm ready.
Snow doesn't hit NJ/NYC area until later...

Mmm zima I haven't heard that one in a while... Have the local Facebook yardsale resellers started peddling the thirty-forty dollar sleds and snow shovels yet

Usually our NY friends are knee deep in white bullshit (didn't coin that phrase but I love it) long before we get it down here. Just came back from there last weekend and it only snowed a little thankfully. Wind chill was a bastard though.
NYC is currently snow-free. An ice patch here or there, but I think even those are gone now. Today was beautiful, and now I eagerly await a proper winter to arrive.
Ha!
I woke up at 5:00 am. Looked out the window.
A little bit of snow.
Spent four hours doing work (for my job) to avoid thinking about the snow.
Now I have a lot of shoveling ahead of me.
I am glad NJ's yearly snowfall is measured in inches, not feet.
Why am I too cheap/stupid to pay someone to plow the driveway?
Woke up today at about 9 inches (giggity) and more on the way this afternoon ....
Yep, went to bed with it not looking so bad, woke up with a ton. Probably 12-13 inches by the time I went out to do anything about it. Just had my first crack with a snow blower, spent a couple hours trying to make a dent but it's still coming down even now. We haven't had a plow come down our street yet, either. Hopefully it will start to slow down by this evening! Anyway, I hope you guys are cozy in your homes playing some obey sooner or later. :)
Power flikered a little bit around three but so far so good with having power!!! Hopefully this ends tonight... Yeah I haven't seen a plow come down my street either it's all untouched..
snow is love snow is life
I'm lucky—my neighbor used his plow and did most of my driveway. However, that was midday and now everything is completely covered again—as if it had never been plowed.
I still spent a few hours shoveling where the plow couldn't reach. And cleaning off vehicles.
I think I'll be going out late tonight for Round 4.
:)
I just got back in from another round God dam that fucking shit is everywhere and the wind makes it sick even more... Tried cleaning the cars off idk if it helped any.. Shit keeps freezing.. Hopefully we see a plow tomorrow
And it's over.... Woke up to Sun and no clouds... Probably at a foot foot and half... Hard to tell with all the drifts.... Guess it's time to make some coffee and dig ourselves out...

For the past two hours I have been savoring coffee and nursing my sore back.
I thought my area (07936) got ~2 feet of snow, but my friends insist that we received more (ignoring drifts, of course).
Lol yeah my wife and neighbor's are insisting it's over two feet almost three... But there's no fakin way ... I can open my car door to Nissan altima and the door scrapes off maybe four inches when you open it
Just finished 7 hours of shoveling snow.. I cant fuckin move... I cant move my arms.. My back hurts... Fuck my life ... I'm getting drunk

I hear you. After shoveling my own stuff, I went to dig out my father-in-law.
Luckily, the hardest stuff had already been done. Still took an additional two hours.
Ha!
I ordered baked ziti and pizza and minestrone and arugula salad for dinner!
I was out there for like 8 hours too, finally came in at 5 and had some dinner, then watched some TV with my GF and my dog and just relaxed after that. Pizza woulda been awesome, but we are still not plowed out so that's gonna have to wait. The internet claimed we had 30-36 inches here. Seemed like a ton to me, so I'll buy that estimate. Snow came up to around the bottom of the car windows - and we have an Altima as well!
8:00 am
Sunday morning.
Peaceful. Quiet. Coffee.
Not a single neighbor is out yet. Also, my body was not broken yet.

we got about 2ft or so in northern nj. took about 4 hrs to shovel and snow blow.......sucks, but at least it wasn't slushy. the snow blower worked well. Also did my neighbors drive with it.
i'm just glad the power didn't go out
Fort Detrick? Maryland...
I think an old friend worked there for many years. He is former military who became an outside "consultant" for military.

Yeah, if the power went out, it would have been horrid.
Yeah fort detrick Maryland.... Its a long drive.. I live near solomons island so it's almost a 120 mile one way trip to get there.... But that job will be done soon and my next job is at the state department in dc so that's hella closer

Geez, all it took was a little blizzard to identify all the Marylanders! I'm not sure what I want to do with this info but at least I know who a few of you are now. :)

Same! And I'm not a huge fan of snow myself, but I managed to make it through ok so far. I think I will really start to complain if we get more snow dumped on us anytime soonish. I wouldn't mind doing some trades in person sometime if that ever ends up being the case. Pass through to NY (Poughkeepsie) a lot also, and NJ turnpike to get there although I don't really know Jersey all that well. I suppose VA and PA peeps are within distance too.
Speaking of MD related things - I just e-mailed Maryland Public Television to see if they have any old broadcast monitors. They sent a polite response saying that the state has strict guidelines about disposing of obsolete equipment, so no luck there. I will keep looking for a deal locally on one of these things I guess. Anyone know of any good resources to find one?

Just don't use that info to you're advantage  Most it took about a week at least to really clear out the roads etc.

No worries! I haven't been arrested for stalking in like MONTHS now.
