First I just want to say thanks for letting me in to the forums.
I am pretty new to the PC Engine world, but I grew up on the 8 and 16 bit consoles. I am intrigued by all the releases that never made it to North America and the rest of the world, and became enthralled upon researching the NEC library. I am talking to Keith Courage about getting a briefcase setup going, and then I will be all set! Seeing Star Parodier solidified my decision to get into PCE gaming. If you guys have any suggestions on cheap good games let me know! I love all genres.
Cheers
-Daniel
If you're looking for cheap, just go for the turbo everdrive. That way you can play the games and don't have to get caught up in the collecting aspect.
I have thought about the Turbo Everdrive, I have the Genesis version, but that hasn't stopped me from adding physical Genesis games to my library given the chance.
still an excellent choice option though and I might pick one up eventually.
Welcome, comrade :)
There are many cheap shootemups... they won't have as much charm as Star Parodier, but you will enjoy them.
I will allow folks with current knowledge of eBay prices to list a few titles.
:)
Welcome to the forums :)
Thanks for the Welcomes. I am definitely keeping my eyes peeled for Star Parodier. I look forward to checking out the PCE Splatterhouse as well.
Welcome Aboard!
Welcome aboard!
+1 on getting a flashcart and burning some CDRs. Besides that, here's some of my favorite cheap(ish) games: Legend of Xanadu 1 and 2, Hatris, Gotzendiener, Bomberman 93 or 94, Riot Zone, and Godzilla.
I will definitely get a flash cart eventually. I think burned games will be essential to me since many of them are hundreds of dollars online. Like Rondo of Blood and I'm too poor for all that. Although I think a reprint version of that is coming out soon from PCEworks...
I looked up some of the titles mentioned and Gotzendiener looks right up my alley.
welcome!
