I tried to search for it but turned up with nothing, someone here discussed it a few weeks back, they were using a simple HDMI2VGA converter cable to get VGA out from XGRB Mini and it seemed to work great.
Like one of these models:

Anyone knows anything about it?
With that cable that Micomsoft themselves have made (not fore sale/yet?!) that converts RGBHV into RGBS so that VGA could be inputted into the RGB DIN socket on the Framemeister then it's VGA in to VGA out like all the previous XRGB models.
OSSC already has VGA in, but that HDMI adapter above should work on that too,
yes only the DIY have the HDMI connector but a simple straight adapter from DVI-D to HDMI
would fix that for the premade version.
Why would you ever want to do this?

Ive often wondered the same thing...
Yeah converting analog to digital then back to analog really makes no sense. If analog is your goal, just buy one of the older XRGB units...
I know... I have all the other XRGBs, it just the Framemeister is the best....
But it makes it extremely more versatile.
And the analog to digital and back, well that's done all the time on the others, look at most of them, Console (digital), to RGB (analog), XRGB Conversion (digital), to VGA (analog), LCD (digital), from screen to your eyes (analog)
So it's mostly for the possibility to do so.
Framemeister is the best if you need digital output. However if you can use analog, the older XRGB units are all superior as they have zero lag.
What game system outputs RGBHV? If this for a MAME PC or something?
There are many issues I have with the Framemeister. Mainly it's noisy video on certain solid colors thanks to it's piss-poor A/D conversion. Also it doesn't handle 480p input very well.

Do you use something else on your show, or are you just putting up with the imperfections of the Framemeister?
Also this is the first I'm hearing that Micomsoft is making a cable that would allow me to plug VGA into my Framemeister. This would be great for capturing DOS game footage...
Here's the Twitter from Micomsoft: http://twitter.com/MicomsoftX/status/405656763556315136
And it's mostly for Dreamcast that you would want VGA in, but yeah for old computers and Mame/Emulators/DOSbox it would be great for that too.

Read somewhere that the cheap converters above are nothing more then a cable, and it's simply just that, and use some analog transfer from those few graphics cards that has supports that, don't even think analog through the HDMI is in the specifications.
So I bought one that looks like those but that definitely has a DAC built-in, and surprisingly it
works great, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181537095307 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181537095307)
And yes the Framemeister does have some disturbance in the blacks some times or in certain types of grey areas.
I have yet to get one of these xrgb units, but I am glad to hear that the framemeister is getting some vga cable for it. That is quite some great news.
