ok,
I have seen some photos of RAU-30 hooked up to different systems but first wanted to make sure it does in face work with PCE systems. Don't ask why, I know it's pointless but just wondering if it works.
2nd - if the TG-16 could fit (and I know there is a expansion point fittament issue) would it work? Granted you could get the pins to fit?

				I ask #2 because
/d0909c4ef8b64409f0052cb57d7435b0.jpg
It fits perfect with some modding to the TG-16. I didnt want to mess with the Rau-30 so i modded the TG-16. You can see even the power port fits perfectly!
"But Duo_r, why would you do that to a TG-16? Thats blasphemy!"
Well i bought a junked TG-16 for DIRT cheap and the case was already damaged.

really? tapatalk tells me there are no forums about turbografx, pc engine or pc fx. How did you add it?

Nice!  I was thinking about modding my Turbografx just like that before but never had the guts to hack it up.  Cool to see it done and working.  I might have to give it a try now.
Did you remove the metal piece around the TG expansion pins and cut the plastic underneath to fit the RAU-30?
I was also thinking about modding and/or removing the shell of the RAU-30 to fit into the TG-CD interface but I think that's going too far.

Yeah i can post pics of the mod. You need to remove the metal plate on the TG-16 and remove a little bit of plastic. Nice thing is you can reinstall the metal plate and it looks stock again.

I also made 2 slots on the back of the TG-16 so the housing fits.

IT CAN BE DONE

Thanks for the info! Seems easy enough, I'm gonna do it.

I'll post up photos of the slots and port

Thanks for the additional photos. How many times was this poor TG-16 run over by a Miata before you screamed "Stop!!!" and placed your sobbing head on the steering wheel?

Why does the rear connector look like it was ripped off Japanese console?  USA console is supposed to have a trapezoid shape with metal shell on the outside.  Hack job to make it work with imported add ons?

Exactly , metal plate removed and some small plastic needs to be dremelled off. However i can reinstall the metal plate and you couldnt tell it was modded.
Esteban - this poor TG-16 was really messed up. But the Miata looks worse.

Thanks for posting more pics.  You did a clean job with cutting the slots.
From the looks of it, this mod should make the Turbografx work directly with the Super CD rom2 attachment too.   It appears the SCD needs the slots cut for clearance just like the RAU-30.   I remember someone here did the mod but can't find the thread.

Wow your right. That would actually look pretty cool.

Any photos of Super Cd2 and RAU-30 side by side? I want a Super CD2 now! ;-)

I wanna see the Super CD-Rom2 unit attached to a TG16...make it happen people.

What did this guy do to his Super Cd2!!! I would have hand built the adapter!!!!

oh wow, those are some crazy set ups!

Ha!  These are some great, funny pics.  Who's gonna post up an LT, RAU-30, IFU, and Duo Monitor combo?
Now I kinda want an RAU-30 so I can try it with the Print Booster.

PC Engine Hu-Man Centipede adapter for the win! I wanna see some PC Engines daisy chained and how about a Turbografx at the end?

				Hi
I saw the Bloufo post and a detail rise me a question:
Can Bloufo or someone confirm that if I use the supergrafx with CD rom (either SCD2 or IFU) I can only have audio and video from Supergrafx AV out?
Seeing Bloufo pictures, the one with Coregrafx are using the IFU video out, but using the SGX you are using the console video out...
And I found this video that this guy comments the same thing (at 3:40):
http://youtu.be/LnFgPnsi3LY?t=220
Can you confirm that?
it only happens with RAU 30 adapter or using a SCD2 directly with SGX I still have to use SGX AV out?
And about CD audio? Someone told me to always use the AV from CD ROM/IFU to not loose cd audio...
Thanks
Mauricio

So, RAU 30 (https://necretro.org/RAU-30) doesn't have any video connection and according to RAU 30 manual

They recommend to use the video connector from SGX but the audio (L+R) from the IFU (what a confusion setup!). I just don't know how to do it using a RGB mod...
And about SCD2? Using that I can get AV form the SCD2 directly?

What part has the RGB mod? Why not just line out the video by RGB and audio from the IFU?

Hi, please know that I don't have either the SGX, IFU or SCD2! (Only a Duo that KC sold to me).
But before buying I make plans. If I understood what you said, how I can use a RGB cable with a Framemeister and get the audio from another place? AFAIK Framemeister will get the audio from scart and send to HDMI and them to my TV.
The possible solutions could be a special made scart cable like this one (but wired for use in pc engine):
https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/games-consoles/sega/sega-mega-drive-2-sega-genesis-2-rgb-av-scart-cable-tv-lead-with-rca-sound (https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/games-consoles/sega/sega-mega-drive-2-sega-genesis-2-rgb-av-scart-cable-tv-lead-with-rca-sound)
Or using a receiver/stereo to get the audio.
But if SCD2 AV out works with SGX will be far more easy. O:)
Thanks
Mauricio

The framemeister has rca audio-in jacks. I line in the audio separate from RGB scart whenever I can. I use a component transcoder to play on my crt TV and it doesn't spilt out audio.
