Anybody played Metamor Jupiter? I'm a big shmup fan, and got the game relatively cheap.

I haven't played it, but here's a thread (https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=20632.0) about it from not too long ago.

I've always wanted to give this one a shot with 2 other people in the multiplayer mode, but none of my friends are into shooters enough to be OK with just being a satellite. I figure the best way to do it would be to take turns as the main ship

Yes.

I have still not played this, thanks for reminding me to check it out! The bullets don't look very dominating, seems like it would be challenging on the offensive side of the coin in this game, where most games seem to make the difficulty on the dodging and positioning / defensive side of the coin.
