Title: Google translate fails.... maybe?
Post by: MNKyDeth on 06/17/2016, 07:57 AM
OK, so I have a couple games I need to figure out what they are and google translate gave me weird names so I am not sure if it is correct or not. If you can help me out with what these game names are it would be great.

First one is this.
激レア貴重レトロゲーム PCエンジン 雀偵物語2宇宙探偵ディバン
Google translate = Rhea precious retro game PC Engine sparrow 偵物 language 2 universe detective Divan
(https://i.postimg.cc/MKqXjYDV/divan2.jpg)

Second one
【即決】PCエンジン 雀偵物語2 宇宙探偵ディバン完結編
Google Translate = [Prompt decision] PC engine sparrow 偵物 language 2 universe detective Divan Kanketsuhen
(https://i.postimg.cc/jdtQdPnk/Divan.jpg)

3rd one is just a pic as it contains 5 games. I can read 2 of them but have no idea what the other 3 are. The two I can obviously read are, Bloodia and Maniac pro wrestling.

My googlefu confirms Digi.K's answers.

Susano-o Densetsu has neat artwork, at least on the manual cover.

I kind of want those jantei monogatari games now that I've listened to the soundtrack.

Well, seems I have two more games I can't find what there names are exactly. I tried looking them up on the wikipedia list of pce games but couldn't find any matching pictures.

The two on the left Emerald Dragon and Ys 1&2 but I have no idea what the two on the right are. If anyone knows the names let me know please.

Top right is Tengai Makyou/Far East Of Eden Fuun Kabuki Den -the best entry of the PCE's Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest series.

Bottom right is Sotsugyo Graduation -a digicomic girl sim.

They're all relatively worthless games. Don't pay more than $20 for the lot.

It was something I had already picked up. I am not really worried about worth of the games. I just had no idea what the names were.

I appreciate it very much.

How many Far East of Eden games are there? There are only two and this one is the first one? Ihave another one here that is red and I thought was Far East of Eden 2. I am unaware if there are more, or different versions.

For PC Engine:

Tengai Makyou ZIRIA -first game in the series. Dragon Quest style.

Tengai Makyou II Manjimaru -Super CD epic RPG that made the PC Engine.

Tengai Makyou Fuun Kabuki Den -Final Fantasy IV-style spinoff staring the popular character from TMII.

Kabuki Itouryoden -ACD SFII-style fighting game based around Kabukiden, with other TM/FEOE characters filling out the roster. The Neo Geo TM/FEOE game is completely different and has Samurai Spirits style gameplay.

Deden no Den -Bomberman '94 demo with all Kabuki players.

A little off topic: For the game "Deden no Den", is there any reason to own this? Does it have any unique maps or anything that sets it apart from '94? Or is it just literally a re-skin?

IIRC it's literally a skinjob, and may be multiplayer maps only?

I'd never bothered with the series at all but upon your recommendation I checked out the soundtrack and it's incredible!

...still don't have much need to actually play the game as I'm not into mahjong or whatever.  I wish that soundtrack was on a game I wanted to play!

It has more unique visuals than just the player sprites, but Bomberman '94 SPECIAL VERSION isn't any more worth owning from a gameplay perspective.

Yes! This is a great soundtrack. Several really nice tracks!

Some tunes are reminiscent of Dungeon Explorer and / or Legendary Axe II.

QUITE NICE.
