Hi again peeps...
Just a quick question on cleaning hu cards...
I just got a big bundle through the post today, Thanks tg16manaic!!
I'd like to know if i can scrub the contacts with isopropyl alcohol to give them a bit of a tidy up and ensure full workingness for the future?
and is there a way to clean the cards themselves so they look a little brighter?
I got Peach Boy through today also but it's very.. umm... grubby?? no chunks or anything just the card is looking a little discoloured...
Thanks peeps!!
Alcohol or a mild non-abrasive cleaner like Fantastik are fine for cleaning the whole card. If the contacts need a bit more scrubbing, hit 'em with an eraser.
What's fantastic???
I fact I will use the power of Google...
Cheers bud!
The best and fastest way to clean HuCards is to make some soapy water with dish soap and scrub them using a foam sponge. They will quickly look brand new, aside from any pre-existing physical damage. After they've dried, wipe the pins with isopropyl using a q-tip.

Dishwasher (Top Rack only!)
Select cycle for "Heavily Soiled Pots and Pans")
DO *NOT* USE HEATING CYCLE IN DISHWASHER! (You don't want to damage HuCARD!).
Instead, preheat oven to 475 degrees and bake HuCARD for 90 minutes.
IMPORTANT: Allow HuCARD to cool for 30-35 minutes before playing.

As an alternative to an oven, I've heard good things about using a hair dryer on various Turbo products when trying to get them dry.
*note: Do not actually do this.

Would I get the same response asking about cleaning the console case???

The only time I've cleaned mine, I took a credit card with a thin cloth stretched around it, used some alcohol, and then inserted it a few times. It took some dirt/whatever out and my Turbo worked fine afterward.
