I started playing Neverwinter this weekend, and I'm hooked. This is the most I've ever played my ps4, and this is the best D&D game I've played in a long time.
Wouldn't mind having some regulars to play with. If you're interested, give me a shout.
Bumper dump
My brother was hacked on PSN last night, and the person/bot who hacked his account spent $400 on this game. I had never heard of it until I looked up wtf neverwinter zen is. I assumed this was a small indie game made as a back door for russian hacker groups.
That stinks. Its a pretty Damn fun game though. Especially for D & D vets, or those familiar with the Forgotten Realms novels
Zero_Gamer, you are welcome to join my weekly D&D game if you want to drive to Buffalo, NY.
Maybe you can Skype me in.

I'm sure scrying at the gaming table is not allowed.
I may have to download this since it is free after all.It would give me some thing to play on the PS4.

Give it a shot. Its really fun, and it doesn't feel "pay to win" at all.
Your gear is constantly improving just from the loot that's dropped. You get mounts, weapons, upgrades, etc just from questing.
Honestly, about the only thing I felt the need to spend real money on was a greater bag of holding.
The environments and atmosphere are excellent.
My only real complaints are the frame rate takes a noticeable hit in the city. And I think there are too many in game currencies.

Does neverwinter have micro transactions ? That's often the catch to free to play mmo.

I have never used skype when there wasn't tits on the other side of the chat, and it's not a streak I wish to break...
There is a gaming shop near me that hosts D&D sessions, I was gonna join if I didn't have friends start playing with me. I highly recommend that you look into something like that.

Yes it does have microtransactions, but nothing that is mandatory or unobtainable by questing.
Like I said, there is loot a plenty, and your gear is constantly improving. I haven't felt the need to buy anything, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the game.
The only thing that can be frustrating is inventory management. You feel constrained fairly early, but there are quests that provide an additional bag.
Honestly I've enjoyed the game so much, and still have tons of content left to play through, I wouldn't mind dropping some money to support the game.
