Friendly advice to edit all instances of the word "Jap" out of your thread.
Replace it with JPN or JP or Japan etc..
Best of luck with the sale.

I have a friend from the UK.  Can I have it shipped to him?

And I don't cover the shipping cost.  On this site the seller covers that.

Of course, I forgot about the Clan McDuck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_McDuck) from Scotland, well I'm sure that'd be fine to ship to one of them.

I am always puzzled when people try to correct this, atleast you didn't say it was racist only implied it might be bad form. I think what you say is sound advice, but at the same time people need to learn that context is everything when it comes to racism. It is always a pleasure to see threads get derailed whenever a OP does something like that. Also on a related note, such a weak racist slur, literally shorting the word Japanese.

I'll offer 50 shipped and a pack of hotpockets so Tbone's family won't starve.

The reason is because it is against the forum rules, which are stickied in every section.

Forum rules or not it's just off - get into the habit of it and you will cause offense.
Hi are you Japanese?
Hi are you a Jap?
Try it with Pakistani too and see if you get arrested in the UK

What is the point in making stupid offers of $50 and asking the seller to cover shipping? It's pointless. In future don't bother wasting your own and the sellers time.

I think obviously it's fine to charge shipping as long as the item price is sensible and it's made very clear that it's the item price plus shipping.

What I feel is not ok is say to buy an item off of a community forum for say $150 plus $10 shipping total $160, then when you want to resell it back to the same community, then sell it for $160 plus shipping, so as to recoup your shipping costs, in that situation absolutely the right thing to do is take a hit on the shipping and maybe even PayPal fees and sell it back for exactly what you paid $150 plus $10 shipping.
