Hello all.
I have some problems with my duo-r, that reads music discs fine, but games won´t load at all.
i´ve tried with several discs, which some are genuine and some backups.
I can´t see any problems on pcb with visible checking.
I have changed all caps just in case and it has new laser.
Adjusting pots doesn´t help at all.
I changed ic106 just in case, but the symptoms stays same.
Any ideas what to check?
what happens when you try to load a game? Does The lens move about and the game never loads or does it just load up to the audio screen for a music CD?
If i use original galaxy fraulein disc, laser moves little from starting position and starts to make hissing pulsating noise on every 0.5 seconds and say just a moment forever.
If i use burned backup, it tries to read and flashes power led 1-time & starts to trying again on endlessly loop.
I have one duo, which plays these both cd´s just fine.
Cd-player skip some tracks on music cd and i cannot select them (cause player skips these tracks).
This console did have same fault, before recapping and laser swapping.
Hu cards are working fine and i´ve tested power adapter with Ifu-30 case and it´s working nicely (9/12V 2A).
My friend brought this machine to me from japan and it was untampered.
ok a few things
if you cant select track 2 it wont work
other option is the cd buffer ram failed
seen both faults, fix the track selection first
After cleaning the pcb, symptoms remains.
Now machine won't read cd's at all.
Hucards are working.
Laser is on and and it moves to to track 2 position.
