This looks really cool.

That is cool. Thought I guess the issues with it being 2D vs 3D are apparent when he could just walk around all the obstacles. :D
Too bad us mere mortals can't jump 3+ times our own height or land on platforms that aren't actually there... But at the very least I can see that AR technology has gone a long way!
The video was cool but it sent me down a youtube rabbithole and I watched a bunch of stupid shit.
The vive is badass though. They should make mario for that.
looks cool indeed but it would probably give me a headache if i would play it too long
Speaking of VR SMB...
I have a prototype for VIRTUAL REALITY PCE GEKISHA BOY that I have been working on for the past few years.
It is tentatively titled "Virtual Cameraman: New Jersey"

^ I really would love a modern version of those silly games. They would probably be even better (more fun) on touchscreen phone/pad.
Seriously.

I can barely stand Snookie as is, why would I want to take pictures of her?

I know.
She lives in the town next to to me, but in a multi-million dollar home.
The cosmos is mocking me.

Retro Boss and Snookie are equally weighted in Jersey culture? Who would've thought!
^ I have been toying with the idea of "time travel" in Virtual Cameraman: New Jersey. You would revisit the same locations in NJ and watch the landscape and buildings (d)evolve over the decades.
For example...let's drive down the road from my house...
Pals Cabin (a pop-cultural landmark... Babe Ruth sat his arse there regularly... Liberace, Sinatra, etc. performed here, back on the day)...
...it was recently (4 years ago) bulldozed and turned into...are you ready for it?
...a CVS.

GAMEPLAY: You would start with the original Pals Cabin being a...
(1) HOT DOG STAND and snapping photos of aggressive squirrels
(2) Then, later, snap photos of LIBERACE literally starting his career at Pals Cabin (bonus points for sneaking into his dressing room!)
(3) Frank Sinatra (and Rat Pack) entertaining mafioso at night club/steak house (NOTE: game ends abruptly with *no continues* if mafioso are caught on film! A much needed twist on the play mechanics. Also, all save files permanently erased.)
FOR FANS OF SPORTSBALL and ARENA CONCERTS:
Thriving wetlands ecosystem --> landfill --> garbage dump --> industrial waste dumping ground --> "The Meadowlands" --> Giants Stadium --> Brendan Byrne Arena --> Super Bowl Champions? --> Stanley Cup Champions? --> Bon Jovi Concert --> Meadowlands Xanadu (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Dream_Meadowlands) (debacle!)
:)
As a big baseball fan and a lover of underrated NJ food (boardwalk cheese steak > Philly cheese steak), I just spent 20 minutes Google searching Pals. These are the types of establishments that I love and even though I never went to this place, I am sad to see it gone.
Your game may be a tear jerker.
But then the hilarity of trying to build a mega mall in 2017 shows up, just in time to lighten up the mood.

My goal is to produce the most authentic *New Jersey* VR experience ever brought to market.
Good news! I just got funding for the project!
It was an offer I couldn't refuse.

Are you the reason all the beaches in Jersey were closed? If so, I respect the better use of tax dollars. I'd rather a virtual beach experience than the real thing anyway, complete with barren wasteland beaches and potential Christie sightings.
It would make sense if that AR video was filmed in Jersey. The only thing that would have been more authentic is if the guy fell in a pothole and died in the game.

Jesus, such a great idea!
I have added this concept to the project.
Thank you.

Mario Bros.: New Jersey
...would not be a family-friendly game.
Agreed.

Haha. I thought the Live-Action Mario movie was filmed in Jersey? How else could it have been such a terrible experience?
Also, John Leguizamo was the badass as Luigi.
