Does anyone know about the other versions of this game? IIRC, there was a famicom cocoron (http://hakuda.fc2web.com/hige/1.html)? Any relation? (Replace "1" in the URL with 7,8,9 +++ to see lots of cute screenshots)

Sur De Wave put out a Mega-CD game (Nostalgia 19XX) that has really nice red-book soundtrack. Other than that, I don't know anything about them.

If PC Cocoron is in the hands of Japanese collectors, I think it might never see the light of day....  at least not for a long, long time.

PC Cocoron looks very close to the Famicom version, except it has quite superior graphics, of course.

The best we might be able to do, is someday, hack the hell out of the Famicom version, & rebuild it, with better graphics & music, & then say HAH!  to those stingy Japanese collectors!  I don't know about anyone else, but, I'd be the first to share this game with the world!  Even if, all I owned was an original CDR of it, not even a pressed cd, I don't care, I want people to share in the joy!

I can't believe that one Japanese dude that owns it is so ignorant that he won't even rip it or sell Jamma a CD-R COPY of it for a ton of money. What's the point? He still gets to keep his version, that is extremely obnoxious.

I've never heard of this game before, but it looks awesome! Is it just Actraiser II with a macaw, or is it like an RPG?

PC Cocoron is a perfect candidate for a VC release.  Yeah, I'm dreaming to.   :(
