Title: newbie question
Post by: DocEvil000 on 08/21/2003, 06:55 PM
Hey I'm wondering what the easiest way to play all PC-E/TG16 games would be without using a converter? So far it seems like Super Gfx + CD addon and a normal US TG16. Also with the Super Gfx i know i need an Arcade card Pro to play arcade games, but what other cards will i need? or do i need any others.

To play ALL kind of games you'll need a SuperGrafx with the CD-ROM adapter and the CD-ROM drive and an Arcade Card Pro. But this is also the most expensive way. The cheapest way may be to buy a japanese PC-Engine with the CD-ROM attachment and an Arcade Card Pro or a japanese Duo with an Arcade Card Duo.

Then you'll be able to play every japanese game (HuCard,CD,SCD and ACD). This are more than 600 games. But you won't be able to play american HuCards (approx.50) and 5.5 SuperGrafx games.

So if i dont want to worry about the Super Grafx games just get a jap Duo and arcade card duo, and then get a TG16 for american HU cards.

That's what I did.  I got a PC Engine Duo R and an Arcade Card.  I only had one American HuCard anyway (Air Zonk) and I was able to find a Japanese copy of it on Ebay.  Imagine my surprise when Zonk combined with Moo-moo for the first time!  Those naughty Japanese!  LOL! :eek    But I digress.... :D
