Will they work on the region free PCE Engine Duo-R?
I think one of them is for the Super Grafx (1941 perhaps??). I know I tried to play it on my TG Express a while back (after I put it on my PCE Flash Cart) and it would not load up. I need to dig it out again and give it a try on the system I got from D-lite.
So I guess my question is... will the Supergrafx games work on the system I have?
I understand that the Arcade games will need the arcade card... but I think that is pretty much the only things I can't play right now. Let me know if I got my facts wrong.
Thanks
SuperGrafx games require a SuperGrafx. End of story. So no, they will not work on your system no matter how hard you try.
And yes, 1941 is a SuperGrafx game. 1943 is a regular Turbo game.
Roger that....
I was wondering about that.
From what I've read 1941 is pretty good (a bit on the costly side though)... But I heard 1943 wasn't too shabby either.
maa maa, 1943 isn't the big hit. 1941 is quite nice, especially color wise! great coversion.
How does P-47 compare to 1941/1943?

Not very well. P-47 is side shooter and is average at best (average music, graphics, and game play). It's certainly not a bad shmup, but there are oodles of better ones for the PC Engine.
1941 for supergrafx is so amazing compared to 1943 kai. At least 1943 looked better on pcengine that nes 8)
1941 looks just like the arcade. Maybe not pixel-perfect, but pretty damn good.
What are there... 5 games for the supergrafx? Unless I find a cheap one... I don't see me grabbing one anytime soon. Would love to play 1941 sometime though. That's one arcade cab I wish I had!

7 actually, Darius Plus and Darius Alpha are "hybrid" games that will work in either a regular system or a SuperGrafx. They auto-sense which machine you are playing them on and utilize the graphics hardware accordingly.
P-47 was a bit of a dud if you ask me. Nice backgrounds, but totally derivative, it could have been anything. I'm going to play 1943 soon - it gets 5 stars on the PC Engine software bible, so it must be alright.

yehhhh~~, I love my 1941, it's like the ONLY game I got for my Super Grafx....
Press and hold Select key while turning on the Super Grafx will give you more lifes and can change game lv.~~
=) it's a great game....

You won't be disappointed. It's like 1943 on crack.
1943 has better sound.
1941 has better graphics.
They are both great in different ways.
