Title: What would you like to see on pcengine-fx.com?
Post by: PCEngineFX on 07/19/2001, 08:41 AM
Hello all,

I wanted to know what everyone wanted to see on pcengine-fx.com - be it a new section, feature, or updates to a certain section...anything.  List what you want to see and I will see what I can do :)

Well, I think a chatroom might be nice for a while, just to see if it catches on with the site's visitors. Even a simple JAVA chatroom would be cool. Nothing fancy, just a nice basic way to chat with other users.

Thanks for the suggestion!  That is a good idea...and I've been thinking about that too....we will see.

Well you have lots of pictures info and reviews and the nec legacy has long ago died so I dont think there is too much more you can do. Most of your updates consist of pc-fx users list and even though it is interesting to see how many people still care about the pc-fx it won't bring in any new visitors. I personally like the reviews best since I visit them alot when I am buying games that are japanese so I can find out if you can play them without japanese knowledge. Actually the one thing that would be good is a list of good pc-engine emulators. I tried magic engine but it did not seem too good. Well that's what I want. Hope that helps you.

I feel the need here to defend Magic Engine. It plays nearly every Turbo/PC Engine/SuperGrafx game made with very few problems. It is also still being updated on a regular basis.

As far as site suggestions, I'm glad to see more PC FX reviews but would like to see some more faqs/walkthroughs/hints too. Maybe someone could translate some PC FX manuals too? Yeah, I know it's a lot to ask!  :)

The hard work put into this site is appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Well, I can't please everyone with my updates :)   Though most of my updates are of the FX users list, what you don't know is that I'm always working on new features or specials for the site as well...and those don't come around on every update.  I'm also constantly working on other sections as well (like the TurboStation 16 site re-make).  As for the FX site, if you have reviews you want to submit, please do so.

Could you change the shade of gray used on the front page just slightly? it looks like a strobe light w/ my res. and color depth. I have to close my eyes and blindly click for 'enter'. Sorry if that sounds too harsh! Its the best turbo site I have seen :-)

What rez/color depth are you using to make it look like that?

1280 X 1024, 16 bit color (just like the Turbo:-) )
