since a while there're two of them for sale in super potato for about 60'000 and 72'000 yen (US$550~700).
the release price was 79800yen (US$750).
thats crazy expensive.~~ any one of us have one ???????? I like its looks just like the Duo haha.` =D>
yeah..it's a damn darn great pce related collector item. for sure one of the crown jewels. but couldn't afford it yet, due to its high price :(
My favorite Osaka based store was selling a boxed one for 40,000yen. Didn't have the money at the time, and
it was gone when I went back a week later. #-o
I've seen these on the net before but never in person; I'm betting that the screen quality is about as good as a TurboExpress (i.e. good for the time, but not so good compared to modern panels). If I remember correctly, D-Lite has (or at least had) one of these monitors, so maybe he'll pop in and shed a little first hand light on this rare beast.
I'm beginning to think D-Lite was iced by his Japanese contact for not paying up on that last shipment of 852,398 games.

wow congrats shubibinman! this thing looks so pretty!
nice catch shubi :)
I have seen pics of these over the years however I have never seen one in person, great little add-on.
Does anyone have any pics of the connections/psu etc?
Here is a good youtube video of the monitor. He starts talking about monitor at 2:33 and than shows the monitor features at about 3:20. He has a lot of great PCE and NEC hardware vids.

I think it came new with at least two cables. One of them (the one in the video) plugs into a stand alone pc-engine/coreGrafx and the second one has the yellow/white/red AV plug so you could plug that into a briefcase/vcr/consoles from other companies.
Im not sure the specs on the power supply. I doubt it is visible in that video though Im sure you could PM him.

Any comments on image quality?
It's great. A little bit better than the LT's screen.

Since few of us have one of those laying around for reference, how does it compare to the GT's screen and modern panels?
:edit:
because I am le dumb.
if it's even better than the LT than it's pretty close to an actual television set then cause I remember reading something about how the GT screen can show only about 60% of what the pce is capable of and the LT screen is at about 90%.
So it's much better than the GT's screen.
"-Oh yeah? How much better?
-A LOT!"
I bet it's 85% better.
thats only is its 100% new 85% of the time
:D
No, it's approximately 33,33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333% better. I can tell you.
I want one =P~
i want one of these in the box so badly...
