Best game from 1991. pick it out and show it to everyone.
seems like this wasn't a good year for the turbo. a few great ones, but a lot of stinkers.
It was between Raiden, Parasol Stars and Bonk's Revenge in my mind. Raiden was a really good arcade port - probably the best of the "16-bit" systems. Bonk's Revenge was a huge improvement over Bonk's Adventure. Parasol Stars is a classic, plain and simple, and in the end it got my vote.
Bonk's Revenge barely edges out Dead Moon in my book.
Compile FTW, yet again

As the years pass, the decision becomes more and more difficult. It came down to Cadash, Parasol Stars, and Dead Moon for me, with Bonk's Revenge and Silent Debuggers getting honors as well. But Cadash had the advantage from my point of view...though believe me, the edge is slight at best...all five of these games are top-notch classics and any one of them could have been the one.
Parasol Stars for certain.

Goddam, this was hard. I'd take Dead Moon off your list, but everything else stays.
I voted for Raiden, even though it is a "boring" pick for #1, in my view. The reason I had to choose Raiden is because I played the hell out of it in the arcade, and on TG-16, and it had excellent replay value and challenge.
Cadash, Parasol Stars & Bonk's Revenge are all fantastic. If I was drinking mint tea instead of coffee right now, any of those three would have beat out Raiden for the #1 spot.
Silent Debuggers is the "Sleeper Hit" for me... but I'd put Order of the Griffon on that list as well.
Super Star Soldier but...wasn't the Turbo CD out by 1991?
Ew, bad year! Bonk's Revenge probably wins by default, or maybe Cadash.
I voted Bonk's Revenge.
again, year list comes from pcedaisakusen, which doesn't list year of release for us cds.
I just had to choose what I think is one of the most technically impressive, and most fun to boot, games on the system. Parasol Stars. Bonk's Revenge and a couple others were very tempting, however.
I can't believe that no one else is voting for Bomberman. On what other system could you play 5-man bomberman? none! it was the best implementation of that classic game to date!
Whenever I have a bunch of friends over, we always break out some form of bomberman. and until Saturn Bomberman, in 1997, the turbo versions were the best.
SuperStarSoldier!!!

I almost voted for Raiden too esteban. It was definitely the best of the ports until the PS1. It's a classic shmup and I play it all the time. Hard as all hell, but fun.
Touch choice between Cadash and Bonk's Revenge! I voted for Cadash overall since I'm such a sucker for that game, but man those two are like my two favorite HuCards. This probably contradicts my top 10 HuCard list posted on these forums, but what can I say, I hate lists!
I was REALLY torn between Bomberman, Silent Debuggers, and Super Star Soldier, but c'mon, IT'S BOMBERMAN! HOW COULD YOU NOT VOTE FOR BOMBERMAN!?
That was easy. I had voted for Bomberman. I'm quite suprised, though, that it had actually came out in 1991 instead of 1990, along with Super Star Soldier, since the information I've heard along the lines for these games were for the PC Engine, as well as the TurboGrafx-16.
The mentioned-before Super Star Soldier would have also been a good choice to choose. I'm not too fond of Bonk's Revenge since I don't really like the graphical style for this game, since it doesn't seem to fit properly to me :?.
I can't believe Super Star Soldier is winning over Bonk.
SSS is the low point of the entire series.
Kirby- these are for the turbografx. Bomberman for pc-engine came out in 1990.

I'm aware of that. I just thought they were both released for the TurboGrafx-16 in 1990, too, just like the PC Engine versions of the games.
In general (but not always) the US versions were about a year behind the Japanese versions.
Bomberman, well, Kitsune is right: it had great replay and I think it is the single Bomberman I've logged the most hours on.
I love Bonk's Revenge, but damn, there should have been difficulty modes in that game. Parasol Stars and Cadash were lots of fun :).

CrackTiger, you know what I mean! There should have been a mode that was actually (aka "really") challenging!
You crazy Canadian :).
What have you been up to, by the way? Creating kool stuff for Frozen Nutopia (sp)? :)
Super Star soldier for me although bonk's revenge was a close second.

I've known that for quite a while, too. However, there were some games that were released a couple of years later due to the release differences of the TurboGrafx-16 and PC Engine (Kato Chan & Ken Chan/J.J. & Jeff), those that were released in the same year (Air Zonk), and in rare cases, released a year later in Japan (Dragon's Curse/Adventure Island), of course, so it can be difficult to determine the release dates between two versions because of these cases.
