I pick Battle Ace.

The rest of the good games on that list I play the US versions, except for things like Altered Beast but Battle Ace is better.

Like nat, I passed over the good stuff that came to the US, but I picked Hani.  There's just something special about a game with a flying, novelty dildo.

I voted Mr Heli. I really think it's a very fun and interesting game... should have been ported to a lot more systems.

Wow, that's a lot of games. 0_0  I picked Ys 1 and 2 though, because it has awesome music.

I kinda want to rescind my vote and vote for Volfied, though, ever since I played it on the Taito Collection I fell in love with it.

Gunhed, Ys... Gunhed, Ys... Talk about a really tough choice. Alas, Gunhed has a slight edge in terms of accessibility. Ys is awesome, but it's more work.

Had to pick Ys 1 and 2.  Ryo Yomenitsu cannot be defeated.

You guys really all play Ys 1 & 2 in Japanese? Why?

Because it makes us feel 1337!!!

Seriously though, I voted for it because it is the best game on that list, Japanese or not.

This is too difficult. Choosing just one?

Well, I suppose I'd have to go with Monster Lair ! :)

Ys. Don't even have to think twice about that one. That's the TG16/PCE game of entirety.

What a long list of titles released . Out of these, I have managed to pick out the best one of my preference, which was Dungeon Explorer.

Since Gunhed (Blazing Lazers) and PC Genjin (Bonk's Adventure) were already voted for in separate threads of the "Turbo/PC Engine Game of the Year" variants, I felt it was only fair to do so. Dungeon Explorer does look to be an excellent type of RPG, especially for its time. The soundtrack for it is surely something to enjoy listening to over and over again. It's a game I would like to try out.

It seems that Ys is a pretty popular and lovable RPG game for the PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16, but I have yet to know of a good deal about it. From the votes, there are a number of fans of the game here O:).

Don't you mean Ryo Yonemitsu channeling Yuzo Koshiro?

I voted for DE, but as I clicked the VOTE button I saw Ys I and II on the bottom of the list. But I don't regret my vote - DE is a sweet game. Ys I and II was revolutionary though.
