I have put off my PCE arcade stick project for far too long and I am ready
to get the ball rolling. I want to get a kickass shmup themed CP art made
and I need your help. If you come across any cool PCE shmup art
(or other great PCE art 8) for that matter) post it up here.
We have a lot of talented imaging peeps here too, so if you want
to show off your personal stuff and/or hook Bust3r up that would be mad thanx.
Check out Joe's similar thread (https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=3714.0). There's some cool stuff in there, though it's not all specific to the Engine.
Here is some Sylphia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWXGCKnT52E)music while you looksy.

Those first two are a tad creepy, bust3dstr8, yet still cool. Maybe it's just me, but the blue chick doesn't appear to be wearing any panties.
I think this is from the Commodore 64 R-type - slightly different from the PCE cover

Not shmup stuff, but it's the only PCE related piece that I drew back in the day - http://pcedev.net/art/KC.png
Some time ago I did an illustration based on Valkyrie No Densetsu:

That is really awesome, Ikermel! I especially love the green goblin dude!
Kermel I've been absolutely in love with that painting since you posted it on vgden. Completely. Ever think of selling the original? Or was that done on computer somehow?
As horrible a game as Timeball is, the cover art is better than 90% of turbo games.
Joe's used toilet paper from his "Don't Neglect Your TG" video is better than 90% of TG cover art.

Thanks :) I also always loved that guy, it's a shame he wasn't playable in the PC Engine version :(
His name is Sandora I think - he was also featured in his own game for the Super Famicom : Sandora No Daibouken (http://www.videogameden.com/sfc.htm?san).

Thanks a lot !!! I'm glad you like it, from all the ones I've recently done it is also one of my favorite. It's a digital painting, so there's no original, sorry. Would people be interested to own prints ? (some companies can make great prints on canvas). I used to paint with acrylics but nowadays it is way too complicated for me to dig out all my stuff - thus, I switched to digital painting...
Hey bust...what are the two mecha pictured in the middle?

That's Spriggan on the left, but the right one's a mystery.

Sorry for the delayed response kermel- I myself would absolutely be interested in owning a print- :) Would it be a special limited run with autograph?

Would you ? I thought about it a couple of times but my wife said I was crazy
I could easily print a nice limited edition with autograph if you want... would anyone else be interested ?
Yes.
I'll grab one too!
