So just got a lot of complaints about "Nintega" about spouting off all sorts of racial slurs in some thread.  I'm going to give him a warning.

Ok, I can't find the thread where he goes off...is there one?  Or was it MH who started going off on him?

He's been going off in the shoutbox. If you load up the history file (it's extremely large though, so it takes a while) you can find it.

The warning I gave was in response to his actions in the shoutbox a week or so ago.

I haven't seen any thread in particular where he "goes off" but he did post a bunch of weird stuff in this thread (https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=5242.msg90449#msg90449) then deleted it himself. He also spammed various other threads with non-sequitor at the same time-- I think he removed all those messages himself too within half an hour.

For once, it looks like MH isn't the instigator here from what I've seen in the shoutbox. Although his challenging demeanor certainly hasn't helped the situation.

I haven't been online much lately [work has been crazy] so I've been missing all the juicy happenings.

Ah ok...thanks for the info.  I was looking through his old posts and didn't really find anything to ban him for so I must have missed it.

Oh man, super long day and I have not had any sleep for who knows how long and I come home to a bunch of reported posts.  Looks like it resolved itself, seemingly.

I locked the thread for the time being.  Will re-open and delete the junk whenever I feel this is over.

For future reference, should shoutbox actions be taken into judgement for warning/banning somone? In that case, I could ban Joe for posting a porn link in there just to see if the shoutbox allowed it :P .

The shoutbox is unmoderated so pretty much anything goes.  But this doesn't mean that people can go off on it.  If any mod views something questionable on the box, feel free to slap the user on the wrist for it.

He's at it again. He derailed this thread (https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=5284.msg91223#msg91223) (which I then locked) by all but insulting Black Tiger about his very nice tattoos. He's picking fights with everyone in the shoutbox, and while I know the shoutbox is supposed to be unmoderated, I think we have to look at the complete picture here. I'm giving him a 2 week warning ban otherwise this guy is gonna keep trolling.

He also spammed here (https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=5074.msg91269#msg91269) and a whole bunch of other threads in the Chit-Chat area as I was typing out the ban form.

Check Nintenga's IP.  Got a reported post from Sinistron but it has an e-mail address of "nintegagrafx16@yahoo.com".  So is Nintega actually Sinistron?

Yah, that is fine.  If he is picking fights there is no place for that, in the shoutbox or otherwise.

FYI, the account "Carl Sagan" created today is Nintega. I don't even know if you've activated the account yet, but I put a ban on this account just now to be safe.

Got a PM today from someone saying that Nintega is back mouthing off in the shoutbox.  I've deleted the account (he came back under a old account he made).

Wow, he posted up a nintega vs pcengine-fx.com video on his youtube channel.  I've not bothered watching it but flagged it for "bullying" content.

Yeah, Guyjin PM'd me asking me to check the chat logs.  I tried but couldn't figure out how, so I asked him to PM you.  I had to go to work so I told him I wouldn't be able to do anything right away.

That's funny about the video.  Maybe if I am not lazy I will check it out.

EDIT:  Does the user awack have any IPs that match any of Nintenga's?  I ask since he was the one to suddenly start the thread with the Youtube video.  I don't seem to be able to check IPs.

I haven't kept up with him enough to know if he truly deserved to be banned, but one thing that bothered me was that his group of haters would often post negative things about him in threads where Nintega was just being normal. This kind of stuff just bothers me because I think it's hypocritical and unneccesary and all it did was just provoke Nintega even more. Nintega might've said some outrageous things, but I really think people like Helgeson, Sinistron, and Nectarsis were using every opportunity to let their hatred loose on him instead of just keeping to themselves.

Helgeson is usually guilty as charged.  I really don't like how he pretends to speak for the entire community sometimes, saying that nobody ever invited Nintenga to join the forums and therefore he is a troll (this is from the comments on Nintega's Youtube video under the name Akumasa666 or something like that).  We should welcome all new members regardless of "invite" status.  But this guy (Nintega) was saying racist things in the shout.  I wish I knew how to access the log.  Either way, he has been banned before so you think he should have gotten the idea.

Awack does not match any known banned IPs (nor matches the right location) and this user has been posting for a long time...doesn't seem like it is him but I've been wrong before.

Contrary to popular belief, I haven't died. I've been spending the end of a hectic summer with family on the beautiful east coast of Maine. Haven't had access to Internet for the most part, but popped in just now to catch up on PMs. I'll be back as normal soon.

From my personal experience with the dude, I believe Nintega should be permanently banned if he isn't already (I thought we already did this a few months back?).

Some members are convinced the new member "Gunhed" is Nintega. I haven't personally seen anything that would indicate this, and his IP doesn't match Nintega's old IP. Still, I thought I'd mention it.

I can't really check IPs. But I faked it by re-enabling Nintega's old ban (which was a ban that was triggered by his IP address) while Gunhed was online here. It didn't kick him off. Thus, his IP must be different from Nintega's.

After getting PMs on Gunhead, I've banned his IP, username, DNS, all that shit.

This shithead somehow managed to create a new account. I added new ban triggers with the new IP.

He must have a real hard on for this place.

He came back as "Banana" so I added that screenname to the Nintega ban triggers.

I am no longer baning Nintega unless he directly violates a posting rule.  He may have made a new account, which is fine, but he won't be banned just for making a new account any longer.  If you see him directly violating a posting rule, give him one warning first, then a ban if he makes a repeat offence.

He's gone.  I banned "chelnov".  He was trolling the forums and especially the shoutbox.  I tried to ban Nintenga, but I couldn't because that name had already been banned.  So I banned Clenov and I hope that got him. 

EDIT:  He was warned with his troll post yesterday or the day before or whenever it was when I locked it.

Sigh.  I'm going to contact him to see what's up.  If he wants so badly to be included with this community, why does he keep breaking the rules?

Aaron, if it makes any difference, a number of members here sent me pages and pages of his antagonzing just about everyone he came across in the shoutbox. I know the shoutbox is "unmoderated" but that doesn't mean people can be purposefully disruptive and insulting, for hours on end.

So he contacted me privately via YouTube saying "lets have a fresh start" and that he will be posting NEC related vids on YouTube to share with the community.  In return, I pretty much said that he burned that bridge a long time ago and is no longer welcome to the forums.

So he recently signed up for the forum again, which was banned.  He also found me on Facebook and sent me a message, which I reported to Facebook as a fraudulent account.  I'm really sick and tired of this fucker so make sure ANY activity from now on is fully documented here in this post as I plan to consult a lawyer about this and need all of the data we got about him.  Just having him make an account is against forum rules so I hope there is something I can do about this guy.

Sure thing... He's created many more accounts than we've reported here; Joe or I usually deal with them quickly without making a fuss, but I'll be sure to document it here going forward.
