Title: My Charlie Brown Christmas..... display.
Post by: Sparky on 12/15/2008, 11:05 PM
Thats right, i have the whole crew on my front lawn!!! This was last years shot.

These little guys are printed on Vynl and stand a little higher than your knee, they were cut out and then glued onto plywood and then with a few cedar stacks...tadaaaaaaaaaaaaa... my front yard is ready for xmas & if you listen really close you can just make out the Charlie Brown Christmas Music :P

This year i had some repair work to be done... The day before i took them down last year a few little drunken pricks stole Pepperment Patty and Snoopy and had there way with them, and managed to dragged off the doghouse as well , leaving the string of lights laying in the snow... But no worries i found out who it was  and got it all back, but snoopy in the end did not survive!!!

Anyway just thought i would share.

yes i do, i found them all when i had to go back and get snoopy reprinted, and my printers were kind enough to print me a second copy of the snoop-dogy-dog :)
Also at night it looks great, the tree is lit and i have 2 white flood lights on the crew

Wow. That's really cool. Very large and visible but not tacky in the pink aluminum tree sort of way that the TV special poked fun of so well. Very good.

...these don't look like period correct (circa 1965) designs though...had to say it...sorry...

That is so cool! They look real too, like they were transported from their cartoon universe into ours!

Oh they look correct. They look fantastic! They just look 30 years newer than the designs used in the TV special. This is really only something a Peanuts obsessed nerd like me would notice though.

Nice!  That's pretty classy and far better than a lot of the train wrecks in my 'hood (some of 'em look like a 12 year old girl's myspace page puked on their house).

P.S. - Is that your little urchin in the window?

I've been showing Sparky's Charlie Brown set up to everybody. They all love it.

Oh, and Sparks, looks like Harper just appointed Jabba teh Hutt...I mean...Mike Duffy to the Senate. lol  Harper's sleeziness and douchbaggery never fails to amaze me.  At least CTV will have some representation in the Senate.
