but really, I don't know why anyone goes to a CEC anymore. the pizza sucks, the games mostly suck, and clearly the environment sucks... [-(
I remember ditching school back in elementary years to go to Chuck E Cheese.
Back then, arcades were worth it. Good times, good times.
It sounds pretty similar to some parents at their kid's sporting events - they can't let little Timmy fight his own battles and have to blow any minor slight way out of proportion. If some kid is hogging a game, then tell your kid to go play something else while you relax and down another beer. Problem solved.
Chuck R Cheese has completely sucked for years. Went in awhile ago for a friends kids Bday. NO ball crawl, NO Cheese Factory, the pizza is WORSE than bitd (if thats possible), and like 2-3 arcade games. I was so depressed, had fond memories of playing Tron, Battlezone there years ago.

Second that. I have fond childhood memories going to CEC for Street Fighter II, Road Blaster, Sunset Riders. Last time I went to a CEC they toned down their arcades, mostly racing games = garbage. :(

I never got to go to CEC. :( There wasn't one in Ontaria where I lived, and there certainly wasn't one here in Scotia bitd.
But Street Fighter II and Road Blasters are definitely worth getting into a brawl for. :mrgreen:
Dude. CEC was my first job.
A week into the job, a drunk mother punched a random little boy in the face and knocked him out.
They serve wine and beer. We were instructed that if a parent is too shitfaced to drive, call a taxi. That's great memories for a small kid! ._. idiots.
I quit awhile ago but a friend still works there. He said a few weeks ago, a bunch of moms got into fist fight over the line for the photobooth, and one lady lost a tooth.

(I was working there when the Toledo stuff happened, because we had to watch special "What happens when parents fist fight" safety videos, lolol)
They got rid of the sweet animatronic band, upped the price of chicken wings, and got rid of Marvel vs. capcom.

Heh, I used to work at one. They suck. Not at all like they were back in the day, that's for sure. The one I worked at was about twenty feet from an adult book store, which just so happened to use tokens as well, only with lots of very explicit girly pics doing some very interesting things to one another.
And they fit our arcade games just fine. :lol:
As you may imagine, much hilarity ensued with irate mothers, and very happy kids. Damn that job sucked.
