Title: Questions about Ys IV, V, and Oath in Felghana

Hey guys!

I need help looking for answers for a few questions with my "Legacy of Ys" project.

1. Why were Ys IV and V not given a US release (especially IV)?

2. Does Oath in Felghana programmed with an English version or do I need a patch to translate the text to english? Where's a good place to find it? (Ebay was no help.  :( )

1.  Weren't deemed commercially viable given the time they would have taken to translate.

2.  No clue.

1.  Like Joe said, they didn't foresee enough profit.

2a.  You'll have to download the patch and apply it.

2b.  Your can buy it directly from Falcom (http://www.falcom.co.jp/ysf/order/index.html), though it won't exactly be easy (or cheap); follow the instructions here (http://seldane.proboards107.com/index.cgi?board=falcom&action=display&thread=1163&page=1) for ordering.  You could also try contacting Rising Stuff (http://www.risingstuff.com/store/) to see if they can find you a copy.

Yeah, you'll have to find the patch for Felghana.  I'm still holding on to a small amount of hope it will somehow be released on PS2/3 as well as Ys Origin!

I thought Ys IV WAS brought to the US. I think it's on the PS2 and PSP.

The PS2/PSP game is Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim (also released on Windows).
