Was messing around with the firefox snipe plugin and it won me a DUO for $103. Funny thing is that I didn't really mean to buy it. Just wanted to test it out. I set it to bid $103 at the last second... I figured if I win it at that price, I'll just buy it... especially since my old duo is in a coma. Well, it won.. so I bought it.

Just wanted to share with yall.. Going to want to do the turbo chip mod and eventually get an arcade card. Quick question.. when modded will both the usa and jap arcade cards work?

Yes when a region switch is put in any TG16/PCE it will play both with no problems.

There was no USA arcade card, it was JP only. And you'll only need the Arcade Duo, not the Pro.

But yeah, all USA and JP cards should work on a modded Duo.

You can use either Arcade card with the Duo.  Both the Pro and Duo models will work.

The follow up: Duo arrived yesterday. CD audio didn't play first time I fired it up. Turned it off and tried it 10 mins later and it worked.

There is a bid-sniping plugin?!?!? Man, I've been doing it the old fashioned way! #-o :lol:. Congrats on the bad-ass duo Gat! I gotta grab me a Japanese one; I always wanted to insert my hucard into a Japanese slot! :wink: =P~ :twisted:
