Man, 1989 was chock full o' clunkers. So hard to pick the biggest loser, but I'll go with Energy since that game is the spitting image of an anal polyp.
yeah some good stuff as well as lot of crap. hard to decide :-k
favs of fail:
Altered Beast
Digital Champ Battle Boxing
Bull Fight
Energy
Rock-On
Deep Blue (but at least it's kinda special)
and others i just don't care about.
Also picked Wonder Momo. I basically gave that game away so that I wouldn't throw it in the dumpster.
wonder momo is still harmless compared to other crap and has some cool intermissions (crab on the tits ftw).
Bull Fight is the big fail here. As for Deep Blue- it gets one point for being a shooter- albeit a poor shitty one. Wonder Momo's pretty bad- but at least it's so bizarre that it can make you smile. Energy- haven't played but damn it looks like wild ass. Dying to play Rock-On. :) Altered Yeast is godawful. It's funny how much of a joke the Genny version is- and how broken and rock hard the hucard is. True garbage.
Jack Nicklaus is a total crap-fest. I would've voted for Wonder Momo, as I own it as well, but why be a bandwagon jumper?
I already talked enough trash about that game in Fighting Street.........
Wonder Momo has some nice Hucard art, and has a style of its own that's charming. Ok so it plays like a one-fingered guitarist, but it's something in its favour.
Takeda Shingen though is a delicious piece of awfulness. With it's C64-inspired graphics and colour, enhanced by non-gameplay that makes Energy feel like Space Harrier, this HuCard is absolutely forgettable.
