Title: Anyone have "solid" sales info on TG sales totals?

A thread elsewhere has kind of got me thinking.  Is there any credible info on sales totals for the TG systems in the US?   There doesn't seem to be much info I can find, though 2.5 million total is the only real estimate I seem to find.

Unfortunately, you're not going to find accurate numbers unless someone with inside knowledge at NEC chooses to share them. TRST (Toy Retail Sales Tracking) only tracked certain retail chains during that time period. And those numbers are likely lost to time and partly inaccurate.

Sales tracking wasn't as complete (and even today it's still not complete) as it is today.

True..just looking for the peeps that have been on here that did know certain people in the NEC/Hudson times.

Several years (4+) ago, I contacted NPD Group, to see if they had any data on NEC/TTi, but they didn't have anything:
