I just picked up a Turbo Express link cable on ebay, and I was wondering how this works. Can two systems be linked together and see the same image while playing any two player game? I didn't think this even existed, but for $10 with manual I figured it was worth the grab.
Now I just needed a second Express, maybe one with working sound!

This is exactly correct. I'm not sure which exact games it works for. I do know it works for Bomberman though. For those of you who haven't seen one if these before, you can see it here. Turbo Link (http://www.turbocollector.com/TurboExpress%20TurboLink.html) You can click on the picture to enlarge it to read the instructions better. You will notice it says it works with "Selected Titles".
Only works with some games, and by "some" I mean about four.

I think that 3 of the 4 games are Bomberman, Bomberman 93, and Falcon (which has a battle mode that is exclusive to the Turbo Express link cables). I can't remember what the other game is but there is a thread on these forums that mentions it.
Thanks for the info. Falcon seems amazing now!
Fun Fact: if you want to link a pair of TEs but can't find a TurboLink, a 1/8th inch stereo patch cable can be substituted.

I believe that's it for US titles; for Japanese titles, there's
Bomberman,
Bomberman 93,
Columns,
Puzzle Boy, and
Spin Pair.

man i was bout to say that! :D
a 6$ little cable at radio shack, is the same thing, hehe.
pretty funny.
kinda like how the TURBOCONNECTOR on the tgpads is just an upside down DIN
Ohhh man... don't waste your cash getting second copies of bomberman or bomberman '93... I posted in a thread about 6 months back where I'd bought two TE's, the link cable, and two bomberman '93s only to find out that when you connect up the map is the EXACT SAME MAP EVERY SINGLE ROUND when linked. Blocks in the same places, items in the same places, no randomization at all.
I was pissed... so very pissed... and my kiddos were very disappointed.
Yikes, but what can you say about Falcon?

Exclusive DOGFIGHT mode! Woohoo!

This is still so painful. How could Hudson have forsaken us?
What about Bomberman 94? Does 94 even work with the link? I can't remember.
That's a good question... I just recently sold my copy of Bomberman '94 too. =/ doh.
My strong suspicion though is that it's probably not any better than the others.

Nope; only
Bomberman and
Bomberman 93 support the link.

No thread will be definitive until it posts a Falcon linked game review...
Just messing with you, that thread was quite a bit of help.

I'll have to do that soon. I have 2 Turbo Expresses, 2 copies of Falcon, and the Turbo Link cable.

You WHAT!?
If I could only keep three PCE games, Bomberman '94 would be one of them. That game is magic.

I know... it was pretty short-sighted... I miss it already.
