God how I hate "special" and "limited" editions of games. The only thing worthwhile in that bundle is the OST, and nobody knows if that is even any good yet. Cloth map? Oh please. Plus, the game loses all legitimacy by being only available on the PSP and not a real console.

20 bucks? Are you sure it's that much more? I haven't seen a price, I know that the Lunar LE went for only 10 bucks more, so I was figuring it'd only be 40 total for this, but, then again, we're getting alot more with this LE IMO. The Lunar one was an ost & the bromides, but this is waaaaaay better then that!

I'm going by what one of the interwebs told me: you can pre-order the regular version for $30 at Amazon, while IGN and N4G say the special version will be $50. Your mileage may vary.
It was confirmed directly thru Xseed that it was $20 extra for the LE.

Nice! I've played the import and was waiting to actually finish it once I heard it was getting a state side release. Ys releases are few and far between, so I might actually be all over the special edition, and I never buy special editions. It is Ys after all.

Sweet! Next to no load times in Felghana. Blows away what Konimi did with the Ys6 port. I had to make a UMD dump and play on custom firmware so the load times and frame rates wouldn't suck as much. Definitely buying it when it comes out. Thanks for the links.
Man, with load times like that, if you ripped it to your PSP, you'd probably travel thru time when it tries to load! :D

I'm with ya on the whole portable gaming thing but it looks like that it where most of rpgs are going these days. I bought a PSP and component the cables to hook up to my HDTV and its pretty sweet.
And here's a review from someone who isn't big on Action RPG's, but loves this game!

thats kinda silly to me. just buy the interconnect and hook up w your tv. then get a ps3 controller and hook it up with the blue tooth on your psp. it will seem like a console to me

Well, since I'm still waiting for Amazon to ship my LE version.....I went ahead & purchased it on PSN, so, I bought the game twice!! I'll probably do the same for Oath in Felghana & Chronicles! And, while I've only played a lil bit in town, I feel so at home with this game, it is Ys!!

its awesome the packaging ruled, the game was awesome. Im probably going to play through it again
I'm loving it! And I personally get a Dawn of Ys feeling from the game in general. I'm betting they will use the Ys Seven engine to remake Ys 4. I only wonder if they'd need to add more characters for fighting in Ys 4. I think Ys 5 would be bettter done with the Napishtim engine. I do know Falcom has said they are interested on remaking those for PSP depending on the sales of there other games, so, everyone, buy up!!
