Title: question for people from England
Post by: AlexKidd on 07/22/2005, 02:17 AM
Is this system really $700 u.s. dollars?

http://www.telegames.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=329_107_110&products_id=7466

Just wondering, that's what it came out to be and it didn't seem right. These systems were only $250 about a year ago when Telegames had their u.s. site. I can see the price going up but not that much.

They're not really worth that much even at Bullseye prices, at least not in the US- heck even UK fans can import if they had to instead of pay that much. If you look at the rest of the prices on that site its pretty typical. Half of that shit they probably don't even have. I tried to order Might and Magic III only to have my money refunded the next day when they checked their actual inventory.

...just a thought...

Okay $700 dollars... a Turbo Duo that supports HuCards, TGCDs, Super CDs, CD+Gs, butt wiping support, and makes french toast. You know with all those features, I think it's really worth the $700, especially if it makes good french toast and can store lots of syrup at once.

This company is well know in England for charging sky prices!
Granted they have a lot of stock but they charge way over the odds.
My brother and I, if we want a laugh we check out their prices.

They also sell on ebay but the shipping prices they charge are the same, a joke. I once won an ebay auction of theirs, I sent them an email asking if I could pick up the item  (Neo geo kidney joystick I didnt want to pay the £12 shipping) when I got there the guy said there was a £3 pick up fee!!!!

Man a pick up fee, that sucks. I didn't even think such a thing exist. Awfully rude of him since it saves him the time to ship it and faster transaction.

I suppose that's okay...as long as it doesn't try to wipe your butt WITH the french toast...

Oh god that would suck, especially with syrup on it.

... now that I think about it, that might be a more efficient and comfortable way of wiping...

You should have walked out and told him to just mail it, that would have been awesome.

Has anyone noticed any difference in the amont of syrup the Duo can hold with the Arcade Card?
