I bought what was listed as a sealed Nirgends. However, I suspect that it is used. I was hoping someone could post a picture of a sealed one to compare.
Post a picture of yours, and we will probably be able to answer your question.
Good Idea.
These are the pictures:

This is exactly how I received it.
OK, it's a crystal clear case.
This game was/is NOT sealed, but king sealed.
So either you didn't read the description of the seller carefully nuff, or you got suckered.
Can you post the description from the auction/buy place etc.?
Haha, yeah, that's a perfect example of Japanese-style repackaging on a used game. It seems like most/all used game shops over there do this, although these types of shops never try to pass the games off as "new." That isn't even close to "new sealed" condition.
The description was very simple. It just said, "New Factory Sealed." I tried explaining what nat said to the seller, but he insists its brand new. He refuses to accept a return on it because he says that I've "opened" it and now the game has lost two thirds of it's value. Kind of funny since it was just placed in a resealable sleeve, which means it was already opened before I got it to place in the sleeve.

This is wrong.

This is wrong again.
Why not share his details with us
That sucks, ROHfan. The seller was intentionally deceptive.
Did you pay with Paypal? If you did you can charge him back.
I have to wonder if the seller really was intentionally deceptive or not. Anyone who buys or sells a lot of Japanese games knows what a Seal King bag is. He would be "found out" as soon as the buyer had the item, so why bother lying about it?
It seems more likely he just doesn't know WTF is going on, took a glance at the plastic, and thought that it was the original plastic. He should be educated about this and then he should refund some money.
This, BTW, is exactly the sort of stupid shit that will always happen to collectors of sealed games. Its a stupid scene, and I'd suggest avoiding it. If you don't like actually playing games, don't by them.

I am with you on that one. Games should be enjoyed, not sit on shelves as trophies. That just subtracts one copy from being played and enjoyed by someone who actually appreciates it.
I agree. I don't like people buying sealed games as trophies and I don't like people who makes buy-cheap-sell-expensive their living. Games is supposed to be played and appreciated, they're not trophies, they're not money.
I dunno, I still enjoy the collectibility of games, seeing the rise and drop in value is kinda cool, seeing i've collectied comics and hockey cards in the past (my best is either a nice Patrick Roy rookie card or a beaten up Messier rookie card! haha). BUT I do not believe in sealed games, even my TTI release games like Bonk3, DE2, D.Hero...i'm not afraid to play them at all  In fact, wrinkly manuals and CDs w/light scratches kinda add to my nostalgic memories (insert "crying" emoticon)

What the!?!? i've never seen such display of magical powers! Thanks, hahah!
Yeah, collecting them for fun is okay. It's the sealed thing that is hard for me to accept. And also the phenomena were people buy games cheap with the intention of fucking newbies over with outrageous prices. Dishonest profithunters. I'm sure you all have run in to those kind of bastards since there's even a "f@ck ebay"-club going on here. :)
